And you don't seem to see this a manufacturing defect. I've always called it a bonding issue
Well so what if it is? They offer a warranty for 3 years to sort out any manufacturing defects that occur within that time. Quite simple really, but I wouldn't expect someone like yourself to understand.mojo21 said:

Question what were you're paint issues and what was the bill. How much of it did they pay?
Happy to answer thatQuestion what were you're paint issues and what was the bill. How much of it did they pay?
Over three years on 24th June both cars in warranty
First Vantage warranty list (bought 18 months old)
- rear bumper paint finish crap & dimples where impact beam is - resprayed & refinished
- one headlight delaminating so replaced
- both mirror mounts replaced due to corrosion
- 3 calipers replaced due to pistons corroding
- all four wheels refurbed due to corrosion
- Boot lock replaced after it failed to open on holiday
- drivers seat frame and loom replaced after it failed to move and killed the battery
- tracker reworked as part of above
- 2 visits for brake squeal at low speed
- corroding seat belt guides
- roadster roof frame wearing roof
Second Vantage warranty list (built to my order from new)
- Body shop wet sanding/cutting residue ALL over the car
- poor paint finish to edge of bonnet and one wing (I left this as I don't want colour match issues on Lightning Silver)
- new grill in 1st week after it fell apart
- new battery after 2 months after 2 cells died and the car failed to start
- new light seat leather cover due to wrinkling (rejected & compounded by damaged subframe)
- complete new light weight seat & subrame @ £5.5k
- a visit for brake squeal at low speed
- a visit for ASM2 judder at low speed (TSB applied)
- 5 visits for LOTS of squeaks and rattles, finally require the dash out and a new screen to cure the majority (still a couple there)
- speakers distorting on Nav & bluetooth
- a couple of leather trims replaced due to lumps in the leather
AM have wriggled most times, I've also had to get guys out from the factory to the second car.
The cost to me in fuel alone is over £600 with the dealer being over 2 hours away
Not to mention my time/lose of earnings (which I can get £125/hr for) plus the stress
The car/s have probably spent more than 3 months in that time off the road and in the dealers
Both have had other niggles like fogging headlights, high reading ambient temp sensors, TPMS errors, tracker issues
So you can see I've gone through A LOT more than some paint bubbles
Even after all that I really enjoy the AM experience
So much so it is getting a 5.0 GT4 conversion later in the year but I would not class myself as brand loyal
Patience & perseverance has got both my cars sorted, treating the people at the dealer and AM with some respect and courtesy pays dividends

Mikey's cars have been within the 3 year warranty though. And since we've already established it isn't corrosion it wouldn't be covered under the 10 year corrosion warranty.Question what were you're paint issues and what was the bill. How much of it did they pay?

Pretty sure the cities will vote to stay put, being a lot more cosmopolitan, but the likes of my uncles in Aberfeldy and Aberdeen are definite Indys. Difficult to gauge how the Yoof will vote, but Fish Face obviously sees them as crucial, hence his push for them to be included.
At a guess, I think he may have misjudged the situation

Although my previous 4 have probably thrown up as many issues over time as well, I've never documented them in one place.
AM really, really, has to take note of this sort of thing as the QC is clearly pretty shocking.
As someone who is about to buy a new car today, I've had to have a long hard think about whether I should stick with AM.
Much of the credit has to go with the dealer and they, with much encouragement from me, have had to persevere to get to the end goal.
