I have given a lot of thought to the problems of the general deteriation of paint on quite a few of our cars and indeed other problems .
I believe it is a question of expectation.
Speaking as Joe Public, I have an expectation that when I purchase an expensive, premium product whether a car or watch or whatever I expect that product to be of superior quality and performance to a cheaper product.
It is therefore a huge disappointment when there is a problem with that product.
The disappointment is exacerbated when the manufacturer of that product appears to offer a derisory amount in compensation rather than offer to immediately correct that fault.
If it was my problem I would expect my car to be professionally inspected by Aston Martin and then to receive an appraisal of the cause of that problem and then a fair and reasonable offer to correct that problem.
I believe that some Aston owners consider their cars as one would a thoroughbred horse, that is highly strung and temperamental and a little quirky.
To a certain extent I concur with this opinion BUT this should not exclude the manufacturer from their responsibilities .
There are obviously a lot of variables when dealing with a car as to what that offer of compensation might be.
Age of car ,service history,etc,etc.
However the manufacturer should be expected to make that offer with a transparent and professional procedure .

I bought my dream car. I didnt expect this nightmare
Aston is a superior brand but with issues like this the shine is well and truly off
Great companies come and go. I'm told its something to do with falling sales, perception and rank customer service.
It doesn't of course help when u have a couldn't give a toss local dealer because as we know the dealer is crucial in matters like these. Unfortunately the dealer up here has no competition and that's quite apparent from all the complaints I've now heard about them.
Hell mend them. They and Aston suk

Oh Mikey forgive me but you have given me a giggle.I quote " baring one dealer ".
I have a mental picture of you stripping the clothing from some guy and giving him a right thrashing.
