I had no idea that made you an expert in corrosion. Sorrry. Perhaps you could PM me your credentials to pass to my contact who advised me on the thread I posted about the issue

Thankyou for proving you have no understanding of this issue.
You're welcome I'm sure.

Continue to enjoy your pointless ranting then, perhaps it'll make you feel better? beer

Oh yeah. This is the sort of 'mature' comment you make?

We seem to have lost focus here gentlemen.
As I understand it this paint / preperation/corrosion is an issue that is common to many Astons over the past 7 years.
Indeed my car had a similar problem that was dealt with by the dealer before I agreed to purchase the car.
So in theory Aston Martin have a responsibility to their customers.
I take the point that if they honour their commitment to provide a product that is suitable for purpose it would cost them bundles but that does not mean they should disown the problem or treat the customer with disdain.
Aston Martin at least should offer to repair the corrosion and respray for free or at least only charge a nominal sum say £500.
It should not be treated in the same way as a wear and tear problem which it does not appear to be.

I tried that. I suggested you change your attitude; you got stroppy. Tarks got his car sorted quickly by being a reasonable customer; he then got a reasonable response from the vendor.

There is always an attitude test, be it a car dealer, a policeman or anyone who has you in their thrall. You, sir, are failing it massively.

That your paintwork is shoddy is not in any doubt. That it's Aston's fault, well we're pretty sure it is. Is the dealer interested in helping you, when others have been helped in the same circumstances... nope.

You can keep typing 'despicable, disgraceful, embarrassing' until the cows come home, but it's not helping you. Try a different tack. That's my contribution to the thread. My contribution to the forum... hmmm, that's another matter.

Err ok. Got to get my head round this.
You bought it privately (I think) from a guy that bought it from a local non specialist car dealer (I think).

Funny you ignore the DOZENS of posters across the various threads who got screwed by Aston. It's got diddly to do with attitude matey and everything to do with aston not honouring their warranty. Your apologist attitude leaves one in doubt of your motives

Big fail, oh and your "rant" says it all

I think it is also worth remembering that AM, the dealers and the independent monitor this forum. I have been surprised on a few occasions when talking to people that they mention something on a thread here. Latest was at Grange last weekend when one of the sales chaps mentioned the excellent Jag fobs being designed as replacements for the Aston/Volvo one.

Mojo, I think Yeti's point it that we all agree that your problem is real, well known and suffered by many others, But your public outcry and the way you are referring to AM will not do you any favours in getting an equitable resolution. Yes, they should honour their warranty and yes, we know they are not. But many of us here have had bodywork repairs done with either a full contribution or part contribution by speaking privately and negotiating with the dealer (who you must get onside) and then ultimately AM.

I wish you luck in getting a resolution to this but I would respectfully suggest that continuing to post with words such as 'arrogant' and 'permanent disgrace' will not help you get that resolution.

So AM monitor this forum GOOD. Then its about time all AM owners of their Gaydon bubbles should lay into them for their hubris and arrogance I ain't getting an AM resolution and neither did dozens of others

The more AM hear from us the better Might make them remember what goes up also comes down and AMs reputation re this issue is shocking

This is not about words this is about action or rather AMs total lack of action. The dealer is a waste of space here - and I submit to you many more are very very unhappy as opposed to the few who may have got a contribution/ fix to their problem.

Ever car and every issue is different but in a like for like basis ill venture most owners are way out of pocket and patience - I/THEY REACTED to AM and their Dealers arrogance. Again, AM suk

As I said, good luck in getting this resolved. You started the thread with a call to arms to start a class action lawsuit against AM. I shall say no more but will remain interested to see if you go down that path and how it concludes.
