Here are my Bun's

Gareth:
The lop eared dwarf, my little man.

I bought him from Pets@Home in January 2007, he has always lived alone and indoors with the peoplez. Will jump up at the side of his cage every morning to say hello whilst I fill his food bowl, he lets me have a bit of a stroke and then turns and makes a run straight for the food

Likes: Dandilions, Yoghurt drops and nuggets.

Dislikes: Hay, Cuddles/ strokes (unless he requests them) and water bowls.

He loves the sunshine, he will sit in it for hours and hours when out in his run (meaning I have to put suncream on the top of his ears!!)

He's very adventurous and likes to sit on his own chair...

Gareth used to groom this little fella all day long until I got him a grooming partner who would groom him back...

Terri:
The Chocolate Orange Mini Rex, I adopted my little girl from a breeder in Warrington in November last year,
I decided that I would like a friend for Gareth as when I moved out of my parents he was alone for 8 hours at a time whilst I was out at work. She was a breeding Rabbit and was living with her daughter when I went to collect her, she is a little terror for chewing and tries not to show too much that she cares that your around but she does love cuddles & strokes.
She will sit with me for hours before she hops off the sofa, runs to her cage for a snack/ drink/ toilet break then she will go off and play with Gareth

My little Kangaroo face

Terri is rather amusing when she first goes back into her cage after it has been cleaned out, she grabs a mouthful of straw and will run around the living room with it (making a lovely mess as she goes) then run back into her cage to make a nest

Likes: Hay, cuddles & pulling on her water bottle!
Dislikes: Food, Yoghurt drops, being ignored

Both:
They currently live along side each other until I get a run big enough for the pair of them, I was going to turn my spare room into a bunny room but I have a friend coming to stay with me long-ish term in June so I cant do that anymore
Bravery or stupidity?

I'm a little concerned that you live in a house with about 10 rabbits - and a machine gun. Are they for target practice?

Awww they are adorable!

It's a pain in the bum having to constantly worry about whether they have managed to get behind the TV so they sleep in their cages, my Dad is building me a tray of some kind that I can put into the alcove in my living room so they can live in there together, I left them out in the bathroom one night as Terri's cage was insecure and I didnt have anything to fix it with.
They decided to remodel my flooring... so nope, not again haha!

Some of the photo's are takin in my old house, some are in my current flat. The gun doesnt belong to me, Chris had picked it up on his way to mine and brought it in so he could have a nosey at it, dont think I could be trusted with a gun haha!

This is Louis, the oldest of our 5. Generally to be found stretched out at the bottom of the garden or wherever the hay is thickest in the hutch.

We see it as a control measure!

He doesn't like it, and generally stays on the rug when he isn't in his run.

Thanks Sam

Adz: It was really funny, she was in and out of the cage, the living room was a right mess afterwards!

Mine hate the lino in the kitchen and wont walk on it (but like to eat the lino in the bathroom), the wooden flooring in my old house never bothered them but lino, they dont like

Marksx: I nearly chose a bun in the same colour as your when I went to collect Terri, but she had a more relaxed temperment so I chose her, will have an otter one day though smile

Animal: Do any of yours live together?

Yes - the three oldest (Louis, Olive and Sprout) share a 2-storey hutch that's about 5x3 and the two youngest (Hazel and Teddy) have a hutch that's a bit smaller. The two groups really don't get on so whilst they are given free run of the garden during the day they are alternated. It's not ideal...

Any excuse to post another pic of the buns.

These two have a cage but no cage lid- more a hay containment device.

was going to post a topic on my conundrum, but probably best off in here. 2 rabbits or 1?

We have a house rabbit Lola. We rescued her in Jan. Shes about 18 months - 2 years old. black Lop.

She has been fabulous, doesn't chew anything, doesn't poop/wee outside of her litter tray. So much so that she is left out from 7am to 10pm while we are at work etc. Shes not one for being picked up but is a complete attention seeker.

We recently worked out that she is deaf, this has sparked interest at getting her a chum as she is very easily startled.

- So how hard is it to integrate them? Id be upset if they didnt get on and to be honest we dont have room to home them separately on a long term basis. We are planning to borrow a cage as a temporary basis and then have them live in the cage together. Its a 2 rabbit indoor pets @ home thing, and tbh at the moment Lola only spends minimal time locked up.

I do love house rabbits.
My 2 live in a 3 floor crate, and keep themselves to themselves.

They come out for a runabout 1-2 times a day, on a piece of carpet on the living room wooden floor.
Funny thing is, i always used to worry about them having enough space to run about in, but when i give them their own specific time, they run for about 2-3 mins then just flop out smile

Just wish they didnt eat everything (carpet in 2 rooms, 3 macbook chargers, a lamp cable, part of my leather sofa to name but a few)

In response, we now have Reggie.

He is a rescue from pets at home. 5 months old. He's a right loon. Introduced him to Lola today, all was going well until she got bored of him trying to mount her. Take 2 tomorrow! Need to book him in to be neutered tomorrow.

When i had to bond my two, i cleaned all the carpets with baking powder, and kept them in separate rooms for about a week, only doing visits (Snuffs in his cage, Twinkle running about outside it and vice versa).
After that, i put some towels in the bath and introduced them in the tub,
After about 5 minutes oh eye-ing her up and chasing/humping attempts, snuffs did the biggest bunny flop I've ever seen (he almost did a full roll).

Then i sat with them for about 3-4 hours at a time for about 5 days.
It really helped stroking one, then the other with the same hand to get the scents to mix.

Then they went into their cage together.
They still try and hump each other every so often, but has died down a bit since we got the dog.

Also, having 2 gives them companionship with each other, and does them the world of good. Snuffs gets very defensive of twinkle, and if she's getting brushed on my lap, he will jump up and defend her.
