I'm guessing it's a similar cause & effect to the "white worm" under the lacquer on alloy wheels
No sign of any issues on my CF parts after 11k miles in 18 months
I have no (visible?) CF on my car but when I looked under F1 NDW Neil's bonnet recently it was amazing to see how long AM had been using CF as part of the structure on the original Vanquish smile

yes

Neils does have a few CF bits, don't think yours has got any.
It's only the DBS and new Vanquish on the VH that use it for it's intended purpose wink
It will be interesting to see if there are any paint bonding issues on these as they get older!

I've read that if the lacquering applied on top of the laminate is not given sufficient time to 'gas out' before a final sealant or clear coat is applied, then it can cause problems later. As mentioned earlier, one of my louvres has got several lots of small pits which is either leeching gas or breakdown of the lacquer. I don't think AM are alone in struggling with CF issues in hot places, Ferrari and Porsche users apparently have similar issues. The truth is on mine you have to be at the right angle to see anything wrong but I suspect we all look at our cars at all sorts of weird angles from time to time. Not sure if these self-defects (OCD tendencies) are covered under some sort of cosmic warranty or are the penalty for being able to enjoy having an AM in the garage!

Makes a lot of sense & implies there is the potential for "gassing" issues on the CF on DBS & Vanquish where it is painted.
