Astons are such an embarrassment, Part 2. ;)
Discussion
I'm aware lol can also mean lots of love but if that was the intent on any of the posts I've read, I think I'm even more embarrassed now !
I do have an example of someone who should have been embarrassed but I congratulate him for not being so ashamed that he could acutally admit to the tale. Mate of mine changed his F430 to a low miles 458 and paid the dealer to retro fit the steering wheel with a carbon top section incorporating shift lights (in fact mikey k met him on our North Wales adventure this summer)
A few weeks later he rang his dealer to complain that he'd paid £x for the upgrade and it didn't work - the lights had never come on
Turns out he had never rev'd the car hard enough to trigger the LEDs ! Mind you, that's what you get for buying a car like that to pose around central London
We have since shown him the error of his ways and he is now enjoying proper use of the car - he's coming to Le Mans next week and on an Alpine tour in August when I'm sure the wheel will be lit up like a Christmas tree !

I'm embarrassed to be an active contributor (welcome or otherwise) of a board which includes members who use the expression 'lol'
Someone please enlighten me - I'm patently missing something
It's being used in an ironic way Jonby, as we laugh together at the hard of thinking chap. Someone please enlighten me - I'm patently missing something

So, what embarrassing moments have you had in your Aston today
In the mid 70s, when I was still a kid, my Uncle took me out for a spin in his DB6The embarrassment was so extreme I have not ventured into an Aston since
(nothing to do with my limited budget for all thing motoring )
The DB6 has been sitting in his barn since the early 80s, so has a nice thick coating of dust and bird poop.
Under that protective coating for 30 years you would imagine the paint is perfect but alas there are areas of bubbling.
Does anyone know if that is covered by any warranty?

That's a tough question really. If BMW will not pay for their 2 litre diesel engine timing chain failures (Watchdog this evening) to be repaired for free after 100,000 miles on cars made between 2002 and 2009 and no dealer service history, I am not sure that AM will be any different when it comes to warranty claims. Does anyone know if that is covered by any warranty?
That said, so long as you have no bubbling on the doors you should be okay I think....
