Apparently effects 2012-14 DB9, DBS, Rapide, V12 Vantage Coupe, V8 Vantage Coupe and Virage.

Sorry Mikey missed that one, but at least the official VoSA info adds the Vin sequence smile

Think it also included V12 Vantage Roadster as mine was replaced today by the dealer.

My VIN starts SCFE rather than SCFF. What is the significance of the first four letters?

the first 3 digits SCF are the World manufacturer identifier for UK Aston Martin.......
The 4th digit of the VIN is just the restraint system..........
e.g.............

Line 4 = restraint system
A – 2+2 seating. Front & side (in seats) airbags + 3-point ELR seatbelts with pyro-pretensioner for driver/ passenger (+ALR pass.) + rear seatbelts (ELR/ALR).
B – 2+0 as above but no rear seats/setbelts.
2010MY+ E -2+0 (as above) F - 2+2 (as above)
{Note: 13MY+ DB9 also has dual pretensioners/dual stage load limiters for the seat belts but code still E/F}
G - As E 2+0 but no side airbags in the seats if light weight seats are fitted.
H - (Rapide) 4-seater as 2+2 + side curtain in pass & drvr + both rear doors, pyro-pretension rear seatbelts.
K/L - Vanquish 2+0/2+2 adds dual pre-tensioners/dual stage load limiters + curtain side airbags in the cant rails.[/i]

I have just copied the VIN sequence from the VOSA webpage, but I assume the relevant part of the VIN will be the unique chassis number..... the series 14390-14614 at the end (last 5 digits) as the rest of the VIN will vary by model/country etc.

One assumes those numbers (600/800) reported as being involved are US (or UK) only - it would appear it's actually all models other than cygnet that have been produced in that period

Mine is going in just after Le Mans....
