RIP Purdey cryangel

However, Pearl looks fantastic. Get those 1,000miles clocked up fast and then off to the BR training camp for a bit of performance enhancement yes

Great news all round...Particularly to the companies involved what great service..
many will note who gave the support and very well done and above all that this had a happy outcome albeit with the Purdy loss..

A very positive outcome considering the circumstances and your attachment to Purdey car. It's nice to see insurers following through with a speedy, fair, claims service.

Excellent to hear some good news on this.

All the best

I really must rattle on about my insurers. I notified Matt Warner @A&T Insurance group the day after the incident. He handled my wailings in a very calm and professional manner. Hiscox sent me the relevant paperwork which I received the next day. Purdey was shuffled from BR to Newport Pagnell where the estimate was done. Hiscox were in receipt of the amount within 2 days. So within 7 working days of the accident happening the money was in my account!!!!!!

At no time during the many phone calls was I asked to push button 1or 2. The relevant people I needed to speak to we're not on a day off, gone home early, in a meeting, on the other line, off sick etc.

Hiscox thank you for being brilliant! You scored 10 out of 10.

Congratulations to you both on the birth of your new baby. I knew Rob was not man enough for a V12V wink. I guess it will be on it's way to BR very soon yes
I am woman enough to take on a V12V
Never in doubt Molly nono

I am very happy for you both, what a great result from a sad tale. The advert for the insurance company is a good one, sometimes I do wonder if the cheapest insurance is the way to go on cars of this ilk!!

Y 100 , Bob, it is not to late to cancel. I would not dream of putting your new car on with Admiral, I am sure that you have 21 days cooling off period. If you know of anyone that has had a claim settled within 7 days with no hassle at all I would be most surprised. Ring the A&T group insurance company . My premium for Purdey was £1175. Might be a tad more next year!! Tell them Rob Taylor sent you.

You have to wonder how they'd handle a claim if the unthinkable happened (I'm with them).

No idea as I don't do individual motor insurance but I'm sure Rob's broker will tell you

Insured with Bell (part of Admiral Group)
Car parked in garage. Mountain bikes on wall bracket above car - been there for 5 years. Mountings fail - two bikes onto bonnet - headlight etc.

First call to Bell - take it to xyz Bodyshop they are our preferred company - are you sure its an Aston and they do run of mill cars?
Bell call back - apologies Sir, just looked at your file etc, its an Aston it needs to go to an Aston Approved Bodyshop - nearest one to you is Slough. Is the car drivable or do you want us to get it picked up and sent there?

Couldn't have been more helpful. The bodyshop was st, needed Bell / Admiral to beat them up - they were more than happy to do so.
