Carbon fibre is cool externally but a bit industrial for inside chaps wink

That said I actually love CF biggrin and my glossy boutique Turkish made piano black veneer and die cast panel has cracked on both sides of the Sat Nav hatch by now... Not fit for purpose really... Never had a cracked dash ever - let alone within 4 years of manufacture. Any advice here as its a comedy quote to fix...for clearly MY mistake...

Just dig deep and suck it up. You won't regret it biggrin

Or get it wrapped if you can cope with a fakey one.

My '05 V8V was a little light on technology, so I've just had:

Parrot kit fitted
Dension fitted for iPhone connectivity
Remote 'fuse 22' modification

The Dension has been fitted in the passenger footwell, but with a USB socket presented in the offside, so I can choose where to mount the phone.

I've also picked up a steering wheel from Astonbits with the stereo and cruise controls, so need to get this fitted and the ECU flashed.

Ditto - had mine done about a year ago - huge improvement smile

Very nice thumbup

The Carbon Fibre Ski Slope definately looks better with the matching grey infotainment/centre console surrounds. The Piano Black Ski Slope just looks out of place..

Today I had 200 cell sport cats fitted by David Appleby Engineering.

I grinend the whole way home, as did fellow road users!

The noise is glorious! I wish it sounded like this from the first day of ownership.

They did my dual plate clutch and lightened flywheel, which is awesome. James seemed like a very nice chap smile

Does anyone know if it is possible to have the phone kit retrofitted? My car appears to have the phone buttons on the stereo even though Bluetooth was not fitted.

Mine too - got the SIM slot & buttons on the stereo, but no Bluetooth.

Having done quite a bit of research, it seems like Parrot is the best way rather than OEM retrofit.

It is very small and unobtrusive. Let me know if you need a mic picture.

My car has a Parrot MKi9200 fitted but it doesn't look as neat as I would like.
Is this an old system that is best upgraded?

No idea I'm afraid, but yours just looks like a different model with a better interface - the CK3100 has a very basic screen (as you can see in the picture)

Given all the anti-piano black of late... I like it in my car and, after nearly 7 years it is neither scratched nor cracked. Oh, and no, I haven't been offended smile

No offence intended but have you checked the far/front corners of the satnav aperture VERY carefully. I hadn't spotted my crack at all but the AML technician spotted it when I asked him to look at it regarding creaks/rattles coming from that area. I too like the aesthetics of the piano black but the ski slope bit really does reflect too much and the bit around the "ash tray" is so easy to mark and I am very careful.

+1 Had replaced the machined metal one in my previous V8V with the CF and no one noticed.

OTH, the all piano-black on my V12V drew "Oohs" from the family. Its a weekend/getaway car for me and I treat it like a museum piece - inside anyway.

That looks very nice. No, I meant the 'standard' metal one - sorry can't remember the correct term for it.
