Good man. Now you're infected with the carbon disease, What's next?

List so far is V12S Carbon Grille / Front Splitter / V12 Bonnet Vents / Side Strakes / Rear Light Inserts.... and now the Interior Door Handles.

I have the Exterior Door Handles but not put them on yet.

Need to start on the interior now wink Not sure if the interior door cappings will fit mine? does the later facelift have larger speaker grilles?

Just finished re-painting the (rusty) mesh panels above the rear diffuser on my '06 Vantage. Didn't fancy removing entire rear bumber to get them off, so did in-situ on the car. Overall a fairly simple job. Remove the rear diffuser and then wire brush the meshes. One coat of rust converter, a coat of primer and two top coats of matt black to finish. Unfortunately, the masking tape took a load of paint off the sides and base of the gearbox oil cooler when I removed it, so then had to re-paint that with some engine enamel as well. All looking good now though - though can't help wondering why AM didn't make them from stainless steel in the first place given their location on the car?

Had my 10 Year Service carried out over at David Appleby Engineering near Silverstone.

Great job as usual, thanks to David and James.

Was very tempted by the RS Fabrications X Pipe and Cats...... but my man maths wasnt helping me out in making my mind up this time!.... maybe next time perhaps......

Oh dear - not good. As it happens I've just got mine back from Works where I've had the front plate and plinth completely removed. I've been running without a front plate on the Atom for nearly 3 years and had no problems - wonder how long I'll survive this one wink

Went to the Barn, AMOC HQ for a fascinating presentation by Stuart Gibbard and Adam Brown, Sir David Brown's grandson.

The presentation was excellent with many wonderful insights and preceded by a good lunch in Dorchester on Thames. My 1962 Rapide, the black one in Rich's pic, did as many miles today as about 5 months last year. Very much a car for motoring rather than driving, although it is geared for about 160 mph, 54 years old next month

Just looks so much neater and cleaner. Keep us posted - believe it's just a fine and no other repercussions {unlike if you actually have a non compliant plate on}. A small price for that aesthetic and given they don't really police the roads with actual humans any more!

So I assume this also means you can skip paying the congestion charge should you enter Central London and also gives you immunity to motorway average speed cameras.
