Jase B , let me know if you went to the Scramble - close to us but weather currently pretty poor and I hadn't washed the car so didnt bother booking.
I did go, very impressed, lots and lots of people there, much like a mini Goodwood event.I'm only about 30 minutes away so it's nice to have something local too.
There was a presence from the local AMOC group so parked up with them, I will definitely be going back in April for the next one.

What was the traffic like JB? I went to some of the early ones a few years ago and they were great. Not too crowded and mostly classics and pre-war cars (I wonder if there are more modern cars these days). I would like to come along in my Lagonda in April but I am reticent if to get stuck in traffic jams, she doesn't like standing still for more than about 5 mins (not over heating but the plugs foul up). What time did you arrive, what was it like? R... I'm only about 30 minutes away so it's nice to have something local too.

Good weather for the time of year but I would imagine it will be even busier in April.
Hoping my buddy's Lagonda is ready for April too, just in for some engine work, a refresh according to his wife, big bore and full rebuild if you know the truth... It's either 1933 or '37 and something about backward pedals and gearbox...

Leeds JCT? Received a great email from 'Peter' in New Zealand informing me that 'Blofeld' had arrived and enjoying life in New Zealand.
I am sure he won't mind me repeating his email below;
"BLOFELD HAS ARRIVED!!!!
I picked the car up at the end of last week and I have had a wonderful weekend of trying it out - what a machine!! I couldn't be happier with the car, it's in fantastic condition and I can't believe how easy to drive it is, even with the brutal power it possesses. I'm already trying to find excuses for me to have to take it for another drive!
Thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to purchase this amazing car, I will be treasuring it for a long time to come".
Always nice that when you let a car go that the new owner appreciates what they have got...

Removed TVR from garage and (for the first time) inserted Aston into vacant TVR slot (other side of garage has my old 'B' roadster in it)
Bloody tight fit at first
Then.... removed Aston from garage and cleaned it to within an inch of its life
This afternoon will consist of removing accumulated no longer needed junk from garage (doesn't include the MG), tidying and sweeping up, and re-inserting Aston (followed by plugging in trickle charger and drinking coffee whilst standing back and admiring uncluttered garage and shiny Vantage

I went and found the Hardknott pass during the summer, in the Range Rover, and found myself idly wondering what the V12V would have made of it. I'm pretty sure that it would ground out on some of the hairpins with significant camber changes.To be honest, it's a great road, but not a great drive, so I wonder if anyone has bothered taking anything a bit on the low slung side up?
