A friend popped by to say hello in his V8 Vantage S so took the afternoon off and had a nice little drive on the winding coastal road in St Tropez, lunch with sea view, a tour of a local vineyard, weather was so nice today and no tourists on the road... heaven!

Didn't spot that!
Which McLaren have you gone for? I'm loving my move for a V8VSR to a 650S spider.
Though I would add a V12VR from the 101 if any one is selling wink

Enjoy your new car.

I hear that Mclarens are much more hi-tech than Astons.
Their heater system is spectacular.

Apparently they share the same system as used in those Vauxhall Zafira B's which are lovely and toasty warm. LOL

No B&O and I don't think its Premium Audio either?
Which black is it?
Was it reliable for you?
Feel free to PM me if you want.

Just the entry level 540C I'm afraid Mikey...it was all my little budget could stretch to!
Nothing as spectacular as your 650S.
Thanks for the heads up on the owners link, I'll sign up today.
Cheers

That's the plan Mark. As you know I haven't found a car that I would class as my "keeper" yet (unlike the wife!!) so I'll maybe have 18 months in the McLaren then see what dealer stock of the new Vantage there is.

It's actually not black; it's azurite (I think that's the name!). Sort of a very dark bluey purple - cracking colour that changes with the light. Hood id blue which matches nicely.

It does have premium audio (they all did) which is quite good but nowhere near the B&O in my opinion.

I put about 10k on it in a year and a bit and it was completely reliable.

I only changed because I wanted a new S manual.
