Your not the only one smile fortunately when I did mine there was no adage and just re-wired the plug. Now plug into the lighter in the car and always see before I drive off. Hope that yours was ok

Yes thanks, absolutely no damage to car fortunately, and rewired the charger this afternoon, and that is all okay as well.

I only started charging via the back because it won't charge via the front one - must just be a fuse I guess as there isn't 12v there. Was going to get them to check during the service, but I probably should check myself, so I can use it and avoid my mistake again.

Still, surely not something you can do twice....

Did it once on the V12V - numpty rolleyes - but always now put an AM id card from a factory visit over the ECU slot.

Went to an AMOC Concours at the Interlaken Inn, close proximity to Lime Rock Park race track, Connecticut.

Photos here for those interested. Just scroll down to the 'Other Car Shows/Events' section. Several Aston albums.

I hit 174 but no photographic evidence in case I posted some sneaky pics of the new Vauxhall Movano.

Standing start? Did you brake at the 3/4 mile marker? I hit 162 from a rolling start and the PDC instructor said 165 from rolling in a V12V was about max at the 3/4 mile braking marker. 174 in a DBS is probably a record from a stationary start if braking at the 3/4 marker.

Yes, good idea - a bright yellow microfibre cloth draped over the wing mirror is working for me now!

Not today but on Sunday morning. Woke up an entire village at 7 am with the help of a DBS and a V12 Vantage. Three Astons on an early morning drive out . Even at low speeds you would not believe the noise reverberating off the stone walls. Sorry Slaidburn!

Just up the road from me. It always sounds good going into it with all the noise reverberating off the walls. Good roads if you go up to Bentham and across to Ingleton too. Or can go via Tosside but not as good imo.

Thanks George we did the road through Wray and Bentham then through Tossiide and then down to Dunsop Bridge. Breakfast at the Inn at Whitewell. I'm afraid to say I'm sure we woke the whole village even trying to be quiet.
