So what have you done with your Aston today?

Today we had a professional photographer come to our house and take photos of our Aston. He's the guy who took the Rockingham track day photos and we weren't employing his services - it was more that he was 'using' us (in the nicest possible way!). Dom needed a white Aston to photograph which he will then 'drop' into a foreign set. Can't wait to see the results! I was official shunter and Rob got to be the photographers assistant:
Then we went out to dinner and she sat in the car park looking very pretty:
Then I drove her home and we tucked her up in her garage. Happy days

What did this do to the sound of the exhaust system?
Is the rest of your system standard AM?
MOT's could be an issue...emissions ?
Thanks for sharing your activities
It's certainly upped the sound to a proper deep V8 bark now.Is the rest of your system standard AM?

I already had a sports system on the back end (see below) but this was only a small "improvement" over a fuseless standard system and I felt a bit more was needed. Very happy now and a quick test along the M5 did not produce any droning when cruising.
I'll worry out the MOT when it comes due but everyone I've spoken to says it should be alright with just the primary cats if the engine is in a good state of tune

Following the annual service at Nicholas Mee, went for a dawn drive around Maidensgrove/the Assendons/Wargrave. That whole area was a new find for me last year, what great roads they have. The A4130 north of Wargrave has magical canopy, and some of the roads eastish of the Assendons are so tiny and curved that 25mph seems reckless.
But first, a 4am fuel stop:

Ha, you've done it. Looking forward to hearing the noise next Saturday. Has Lady BS been out in it yet and given her seal of approval?I already had a sports system on the back end (see below) but this was only a small "improvement" over a fuseless standard system and I felt a bit more was needed. That's my area. There's some lovely pubs around there and not the one's you'd see from the road. There's a great circular route of about 70 miles taking in some of those roads and avoiding the really narrow ones. It also goes near The Barn if you wanted to drop in to see the Heritage collection. Funny story about Maidensgrove; I fly gliders from Booker airfield and 20 years ago I met a lady (now my wife) and trying to impress I suggested one Sunday morning we could take a two-seater glider up for a flight over Oxfordshire and then have a pub lunch in Marlow and a walk by the river. I went to the club on Saturday to pre-arrange a nice modern glider for the purpose and to ensure it was waiting and ready on the airfield for us when we arrived on Sunday morning.
We took off and I headed out over West Wycombe to show her the various landmarks from the air; the Golden Ball/Hellfire caves, the blue-water lakes at Chinnor, Paul Getty’s folly and then I thought I’d fly over to the windmill at Turville or Dibley as it's better known!
What was a stonking day suddenly turned flat and try as I may, without looking flustered I couldn’t find any lift and we started to descend. Finally after trying all I could and down from 4000' to about 1500’ I realised I was going to have to land out. During the flight we’d been chatting away to each other but I said “I’m going to have to stop talking now while I concentrate.” In my mind I’d already selected the field, and not knowing how to explain to my passenger I’d cocked it up I just kept quiet. I was making the downwind leg of my approach, down to about 800', when Denise piped up “Can we talk yet?” Well I said, “You see that farmhouse, we’re going to fly over the top of it, bank left between those two tall trees and then land in that field." "Oh how exciting!” came here reply. Not what I was expecting…
Now, whenever I drive through Maidensgrove I always look in that field and remember the first time I ever took Denise up in a glider and how it all went wrong. It took hours to get an aero-tow out of the field and we never made it for Sunday lunch. But it seems I was forgiven because she subsequently agreed to go up with me again, well I had to prove I could actually fly the things didn't I?

Well, your part of the country is special. Pub-wise, I've been to The Five Horseshoes, that's the only one so far. I didn't know about that museum, I'll have to check it out next time I'm around.

I think as cats were originally fitted then it should fail regardless of the emissions, but thankfully most places will turn a blind eye.Is the rest of your system standard AM?
