After 4.5years and 22k miles of fun I took my Aston for its last drive to a dealer. Now have an empty space in the garage smile

I hope whoever buys the car has as much fun as I did smile

Little trip out this morning to 'Gatecrash' the Jaguar XK Enthusiast Club summer 'Show and Shine' meeting at Beaulieu. Managed to find something decent to park next to.

Ha, you've done it. Looking forward to hearing the noise next Saturday. Has Lady BS been out in it yet and given her seal of approval?
We've been to Castle Hill today so a good opportunity to try it out under different road conditions.

After selling my 4.3 Vantage earlier in the year, I was out looking at a 4.7 ASM to replace it. Hopefully not too long before I'm back in an Aston.

And the little garage is usually in there somewhere. Makes me laugh when Hastings drives off in a hurry up the hill past the pub in his Lagonda because it peters out into a muddy footpath hehe

Front V-Mounts done!!

I modify them when fitting which saves a couple of hours when changing them, and making a custom spanner for the front bolt sure helps too ;-)

Next on my to-do list, rear brake pads!

I only found out the front V-mounts needed replacing (again) after I had some cool new tyres fitted.

Uniroyal Rainsport 3 - great tyre for the rear of the DB7's

Took my V8V for its annual service where it met a friend. Not many car parks in the world where you get two California Sage Aston Martins side by side!

Main dealers get a bit of a knocking on here sometimes so I'm happy to say that it went to Derby Stratstone because of the exemplary service they have provided over the last year of ownership.

Indeed it did thanks Francis, except for the front number plate mount which I must get around to doing sometime.

I'm on a roll, although my top shock mounts didn't need changing I replaced then all the same, so I have a complete set of new bushings between the car body and subframe assembly.

Not driven it yet since changing things and will wait until after I replace the rear brakes before experiencing the differences :-)
