I am temping Mikey, for a partner for his rice rocket (not me buying it, although I won't say no, but not from WS though, don't like their business principals)
Ok
Still a cracking visit plenty of history and looks a very well run business.
Until they damage your car, admit it happened whilst with them, then refuse to pay a penny towards the repairs - just another money making dealership I am afraid. I am absolutely fking fuming wkers

Eh? Sounds terrible. Do tell as I was thinking of using them for servicing, assuming they would be respectful of one's property and all that

I don't think any on here understand why that car has stuck but then no-one has got off the pot and bought it either. Me, I am not in the market for a manual V12 with lightweight seats (a minority of almost one on here I suspect).

Tempted as you are mikey I thought you liked the wind in your hair?

Only one thing stops me on the Madagascar Orange one, money and that is a very fundamental problem. Oh well one day

There in lies the problem
As much as I love it I have no need for a coupe especially as I have Johnny the Aston and Jaffa the orange roadster. Tempting to do some juggling though and join the V12V club hehe Then again I can think of a load of other cars I could by for £90k that would get more use confused

Only two things stopping me - the fact my wife and daughter hate the colour (WTF). Do you think I can persuade them otherwise quicker than you can find the cost to change from your V8S Kev? Game on!

The V8S does look stunning (biased view) so I can undertand why you would keep that and look to use it more. I don't have this problem since mine is a daily driver and so it is Coupe and paddles and comfy heated seats for me please smile

I was chatting to one of the dealers yesterday and the subject of the Madagascar V12V popped up and I was asking is the colour or the history of the car. My understanding is that it is an ex media car that had a pretty 'active' life so it could be that when people investigate it's past they shy away from it. I am sure that Works would have dealt with any issues that came out of that though. The colour has always been one of those loved on here.

So colour or history - which one is stopping it from selling? Wouldn't you like to know because, if it is down to colour the fact that it has been for sale for so long would put me getting a car in that colour which is a shame and perhaps stops new car buyers ordering unusual colours unless they want it as keeper and are unconcerned about being hammered on trade in because of that. If the colour is acceptable to the trade and it is down to history then we could see some more colourful Astons coming through. But, I guess that we will never know!

I've spoken to many people on the subject of that car and some have been very tempted, but not been brave enough to do the deal. I think the fact that it's been there so long is putting people of that are on a knife edge of buying it, as if it's been there that long, when they come to sell it, how much less would they get as trade in and it would take forever to sell it privately. The fact that it was an ex press car doesn't help matters I'm sure.

I'm not a fan of the shade of Orange, but what I do know is that when it does go, it's going to go to someone who absolutely loves it and intends to keep it.

Are they asking too much? I know works is expensive. The cars aren't even very well prepped either.....

Both
Colour is "Marmite" just look at Paul's photo of Works. It is the ONLY none black/white/silver car there. People like the thought but aren't confident they can cope with the reality frown
I'd be VERY cautious about a "media" car, as much as Works may have prepped it to their standards they won't have picked everything up, nor will they want to invest loads in replacing parts with potential issues (clutch, brake rotors?)
Interestingly I cannot find a single review or test with pictures of that car!

I had a quick look too but have had the 'hard life' comment come from a couple of different dealerships. I did see the car a couple of times in real life at different events (there can't be many in that colour) and it did look fantastic and do think Works over priced it initially and are probably still expensive for a car which has been on stock for so long.

Yep It also seems over priced when there 8 cheaper ones on trader (several with AM dealers) and the cheapest V12VS is only £10k more wink

I have an ex-factory Press car which was involved in development work as well when the 4.7 Vantages first came out. I recently bought it off Works but had been owned privately prior to me. Nothing wrong with it and apart from a TPMS fault, its been fine. I always tell myself when i drive it its got some secret 5.0 V8 in it that the factory tinkered with but didnt go ahead.....well i drive it like it did!

Agree they now need to do more on price. It hasn't been reduced for ages and when I enquired in August they only offered me £38,500 for my well specced, excellent condition MY2009 4.7 V8V which they would have put straight back on the forecourt at £50K+. Wasn't anywhere near enough to help me get over my concerns re press car etc. so I'm taking my time waiting for the perfect CB V12V to come along when I'm properly ready to change. Struck me that they didn't really want to sell it that much with a PX offer like that.
