So what have you done with your Aston today?
Discussion
Pointed out a vibration when we test drove it, they diagnosed it as wrong tyres fitted so put a full set of AM9 Bridgestones on. Damaged a wheel while doing it which to their credit they admitted and had refurbed, came back a different colour but they refitted it anyway.
The tyres didn't fix the problem but by now I have the car, several attempts to rectify later and they are now saying the tyres are the problem. 2 sets of faulty tyres??
They are trying but I am losing faith in the dealership rapidly now. My coupe was purchased from an independent for good price that was matched by some extremely good after sales.
The Roadster was purchased through the approved network for what I expected to be a top experience bearing in mind the premium paid for the privilege. To date the shine has been taken off the whole experience to the extent that I have been looking at what I could replace it with.
Like many if not all of us I am sure, even with working hard I never thought I would achieve the dream of AM ownership and so find it a shame that it is now turning sour.

So, was faced today with driving from the Midlands where I live to Anglesey in North Wales for 1 hours work. Over 3 hours either way. Bugger. So last night I'm perusing an article in none other than Evo magazine when a thought pops into my tiny mind........hang on, here's a thought, why not take the Aston and make the most of the weather. So, after an hour in the simulator, I jump back into the beast and hunt out the Evo triangle. I did it. Twice actually. Quite enjoyed that. Life could be worse, couldn't it?
There's some great roads around there, evo triangle is just the famous one.
As for main dealers... As I suspected might happen I've just entered discussions into why the 3 free services on the invoice when I bought the car isn't actually registered on any of their systems... At least the cars in my garage and not theirs

Nice work if you can get it Binz
You should have pinged me I could give you a few MUCH better routes from Angelsey to the West Midlands
I'm sure you could Mikey, with your exceptional knowledge of Welsh roads! I was actually really lucky with the A5, it was virtually empty and great fun. Lovely day for it as well, although a little slippery. Lots of leaves, you see........ You should have pinged me I could give you a few MUCH better routes from Angelsey to the West Midlands

Does the dealership not have a complete set of known 'good' wheels and tyres that could be put onto your car to confirm their faulty tyres diagnosis ?The tyres didn't fix the problem but by now I have the car, several attempts to rectify later and they are now saying the tyres are the problem. 2 sets of faulty tyres??

Had a wheel vibration on the DBS when I first road tested it and the salesman assured me it was tracking () Once we agreed it was balancing I was assured it was sorted and the car A1 ready for collection. After collection I still had same issue so arranged for the car to go to Works as I knew that they had a Hunter machine that would do a 'road forced wheel balance' which should sort it but next step would have been matching the CCM and wheel balancing to each other. Luckily just the wheel balance sorted it - I know of other cars with vibrations that have had their balancing done several times at a dealer and then ended up at Works and hey presto ! all sorted. Might be worth just thinking about it....

I am sure they will get it sorted but when they keep giving the car back saying it is all sorted and it isn't you just lose faith in them.
I know there has been a change of staff there and they are trying to improve things so I will see how it goes.
I suppose my main gripe is that I just didn't see myself thinking about changing the Roadster less than 3 months into ownership but that is how the experience has got to me.

I see you managed the tunnels on the A55 as well.

You should have let me know and I would have joined you. How on earth did you keep the car so clean. Mines dirtier than that before we get out of our road neveratt said:
Today I've updated the Sat Nav to the 2014 maps which also adds some new features like full postcodes and camera alerts. Although I'm only half-way through the 3 hour update process so what comes out the other side is yet to be confirmed.
Full Postcode was available in 2010 IIRC ?? It was certainly on my update disc It should be fine
