So what have you done with your Aston today?
Discussion
So I finally got around to fitting my new door sills. I wanted to replace them as I couldn't seem to get rid of the water marks on them and I thought they looked a bit shabby when jumping in to the car, so bought another set and had them painted to match the body colour.
Old and new showing the stains -
Fitted to car, in the photo the colour match looks off for some reason but in the flesh it's spot on, possibly reflection on the lacquer. -
I really like them, though it may not be for everyone. They've had several coats of industrial lacquer so will hopefully be durable, but if they aren't we're going to go for clear wrapping them. For what it's cost (£42 for the sills on ebay and £50 painted the pair) it was no real expense to see how it turns out.
EDIT: Picture taken in the garage shows the colour match better.

Been so busy working I left the car for far too long and found a flat battery. Stuck the CTEK 5.0 on it yesterday and sorted out the gremlins today. What a convoluted process!
Remove negative battery terminal for 120 secs. Replace terminal. Pull fuse 82 and 83, then replace. Wind windows down and hold, up and hold. Cycle seats from limit to limit. Set clock. Change speedo back to MPH.
And breathe......
All sorted now, no issues.
Touch wood.

HI ALL,
Fab weekend away in London. Stayed at the Savoy. The Rapide S gets so much attention. People are always surprised to see four doors! As always the reaction to an Aston is amazing. People want to take photos and talk about the car. One boy yelled "That is the coolest car in the world to my wife!" It probably isn't but I love it anyway.
