Its worth checking that your drivers side mirror is not loose. If it is at all, the chatter will appear to the driver as if emanating from inside the door.

Took a neighbour's son (13) for a spin in the V8V. He started her up and I can safely say that we have another future Aston owner - he's now hooked. No puns either please from those of you with less salubrious minds!!! laugh

Nice one Jimbo! I let some friendly kids ogling mine with open mouths start her up recently. It even got back to me through the grapevine how chuffed they were. Share the delight. smile

Thanks, I'm getting the support repainted next week so I'll get them to double check the fixings.

Drove 130 miles to see a 1980 V8. Always fancied one since birth. But would I take one on now? I'm not sure.

You don't start an AMV8. Think of it more like waking up a miserable old man who's been on the scotch the night before. It pops, bangs, spits fire before roaring into life with a hangover that can only be cured by more fuel.

Driving it you can almost feel that every single component was machined by a bloke called Ken on a wet Wednesday afternoon and bolted together with a set of hammers. Although on second thoughts, I wouldn't be surprised if it was chiseled out of the side of a volcano.

Living with it I guess, could be a bit like owning a bear. Totally adorable, expensive and at some point, it will kill you. Probably twice.

Early morning blast from yorkshire to the NEC for the performance car show

The 3 of us were also fortunate enough to drive the 570bhp GMR supercharged Vantage.
Like a different car! Properly quick.

Although none of us could decide if it was worth the £15k plus vat!

Looked at it last year at Brands. Its not £15k though as you then need bigger brakes etc. How many have they converted? When I talked to them it ws only 2, which they owned.
