I think flaps are open at idle to give the nice burble. They then close with a few more rpm and open later up the range.

Finally managed after probably 2 months in hibernation to get out this afternoon. A few PSI in the tyres and thanks to the trickle charger up and running on the button.
Whilst on the A34 Oxford had a stunning white V12 (possible an S ?) behind me, 1st part of reg was DON.. and a great wave and thumbs up from the driver and the lovely lady passenger - so if you come on the site then great to have two AM's in convoy for a while there - came back home and thought yep these cars truly are something special, and really realise that having not driven it for a couple of months. Then car away and cut the lawns - awesome a stone flew off the lawnmower and straight through a window on double glazing on conservatory - the highs and lows of a standard Saturday !
