Washed and then sprayed her with this diluted 2:1 before drying her.

I now cant get the fleecy indoor car cover on as it just slides off as I try to walk around the car to pull it into place. Looks funny but isnt wobble Beading will be amazing!

I played the traction control light game, on the way back from afternoon tea with Julie.

She says she didn't mean to make me bleed.

But I like the light coming on in 4th. In the dry.

Silly car silly

Great product, you can dilute up to 1:5 on this to use as a QD and it still works great (and saves you some money)

Did someone mention beading? biggrin

I've passed through my cash washing phase and now onto gopro cameras...in readiness for Cadwell and the summer...

(No one mention the state of my drive! It's getting its spring clean soon)...

Looking forward to seeing the pics of your full treatment Ken!

GoPro did well with that audio considering its a 1mm mic! Sounded lovely. Rain stopped play on our local tunnel run with my huge big mic to hand. Take 2 being planned!

Installed the upgraded iPod connector box jobbie in the centre console, it now charges my iPhone as well as playing the music.clap

Thanks to Jockman for the part number, as the dealer initially tried to sell me the box and lead separately which was coming in at over £110, rather than £59 for the Gen2 kit, and that was after they tried to convince me that the best way to sort it was to go for the £400 bluetooth upgrade. nono

Just refitted brake calipers after having Them repainted yellow, as the original black ones were lost against the satin black wheels and dark carbon ceramic discs. Previous V8V had red calipers and steel discs so you could see the contrast in photos , but it looked like a black hole on the V12V.
Before

After

Really pleased with the quality of the work but glad to have the car back on the road again after quite a long wait.
Whilst the calipers were away I took the opportunity to fit a black vue 2 channel dashcam as well.
Just looking forward to the better weather now.

Replaced all the brake pads today. Shout out to Lunablack for his instructional YouTube vid. Respect clap

Got a bit twitchy at this stage

I haven't tested them yet, will leave that until later tonight, so if you don't hear from me again you'll know I ballsed it up!!

Even though I have an engineering degree I'm a bit clueless when it comes to car mechanics and whilst I've heard of cats in a car I didn't realise they are real ones...

I'm dying to hear the story behind this one! How come it only lasted 9 weeks!?

I've been thinking about getting my baby pampered for a while - but thought the paint wasn't in good enough condition to warrant it (5 years old... 25k miles and obviously had a hard life in dealers and car washes!!!) BUT thought I'd go for it and then just keep in mind I would have her painted in a year or two.

Paddy spent 2 long days on her this weekend - including a 2am finish on Sunday! (Mrs Paddy must be just as understanding as my "boss") :-)

Pics do not do her justice - still got the odd scuff/light scratch but considering her age.. miles.. and that she's been thrashed around tracks she looks frickin amazing now! swirls gone.. scuffs hardly noticeable.. the shine in the Quantum Silver is nothing short of awesome!

Anyone thinking about getting some detailing done by a pro... as most of you already know Paddy is a god! ... AND NO CAKE... none... nothing... (unless he hides it in his kit-bag) :-)

Seems somewhat inconsequential, but I hand washed the DB9 for the first time in 4 months this past weekend. Was great to be outside even though it was only 50*.

Was nice to get all that winter muck off the car and see shiny paint again.

Had my Sunday drive interrupted by a fellow in a black and white fordrolleyes. Was doing 65 in a 55 but he only got me for a missing front plate and dark tinted windows.

Eight hours of pampering - using a Dual Action polisher to bring the paint back to new and then add some Swissvax wax to make it shine like liquid silver - though it's Meteorite bounce. There was a lot more 'love' but I'll spare you the details! Then promptly handed the key over to the Aston driver who took it to Cardiff to have a navigation switch pack changed (again!). Mind you, not before I had put a "DO NOT WASH" sign on the dash for the dealership!!!
