It was your post that saw me buy the Gtechniq Ken! She's tucked up in the garage for the night now, and I've sat down with a malt so she'll be staying there, I'm not even allowed to stare at her with alcohol in my system. Will pour a bit of water on to keep you fetishists happy tomorrow when I do the full leather treatment and the other jobs, about time I used the AM kit my nephew gave me for Christmas!

Love that, might do the same.
Are those anodised blue bolts etc?

Yes, I replaced all of the rusting bolts with blue and red anodised fasteners to make working on it in the future easier and to brighten it up a bit. Thats a great benefit when getting stuck into a job and not needing to fight with rusty seized bolts.

I went with high tensile stainless steel for the brace though as it is a stressed area, using Allen head bolts with blue cup washers. I just buffed them up on the polisher before fitting them with a dab of copper grease on the threads. Alloy nuts on the wiper linkage.
I went here to get mine - http://www.pro-bolt.com/aluminium.html?p=2
They do some cool stuff.

Collected my DBS from Stratstone Hagley yesterday - many thanks Nick, excellent service - and loved every minute of the drive home; still smiling like a Wilmslow based cat!!

Working away for the rest of the week so no pics (or driving) until next Saturday.

Cleaned all the leather with the AM care kit my nephew gave me at Christmas and fitted the new footwell LED's. Jesus, you don't half have to contort yourself to get in and fit those bad boys, hopefully they'll never need doing again during my ownership!

Ikobo what do they give you to clean the leather? There was a chat here and differences of opinion between using damp cloth and waxy oil! What do AM suggest and what type of leather do you have?

Did my neglected dd beemer with the Getchnic suite for 4 hours today. Ache again! Mustn't just focus on the new Aston 'girlfriend'!

I have this kit, and also leatherique...leatherique requires more time and effort but the results with the two part process puts the Aston kit to shame.

Excellent replies😀. Thanks KF, as you note my grasp of punctuation and grammar are somewhat lacking. However the Newfoundland has running costs similar to the Aston.
