So what have you done with your Aston today?

Firstly I was putting the filter between the tap and a pressure washer and that was pulling the water through too quickly to allow the resin to act.
The flow on a pressure washer is lower than an open hosepipe I think? If I squeeze the trigger with the power off its a bit of a trickle. Had thought of one of these filters but following Paddy's top tip I am tempted by one of these push pull boys now as it would be fab to be able to vac the cars quickly and easily (unlike the palaver with getting the short hosed Dyson out of the house and pulling it into the car as you vac!http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/metro-vac-v...

I know what you mean about the flow from an open pipe, thats why I put it through the washer to reduce the volume. My knowledge of simple physics is limited but couldn't the pressure washer be pulling a smaller volume at a faster rate so reducing the contact time with the resin?Todays wash is better in terms of spotting than the pressure wash one but that could be down to practice.I think I'll just stick with using the hose for the last rinse and towelling it dry.http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/metro-vac-v...

You have pushed my physics with "pulling a smaller volume at a faster rate" but you have the device and experience of it mate! To be honest I bought a £12 Gtechnic microfibre drying cloth and its AMAZING! Just caress off the first big luscious delicious throbbing juicy beads of water with a std microfibre and then finish with this bad boy - it does the whole Rapide in a couple of minutes!
Came out this morning to find that someone had been trying to get into my Aston... muddy marks around the door handle. Fortunately there was no damage. Turns out they had been trying quite a few cars and it could have been worse; the neighbour's Mondeo has gone missing! May the culprit die horribly...
Opened the car room door, switched on the lights, smiled, walked over to the G-Tech sweeper, unplugged it and switched it on,,,whilst not taking my eye off Vesuvius, scanning every inch of her perfect form, I pushed the sweeper up, down and around, nothing but a lonely incy wincy could I find, so he had to have it. Parked the sweeper, punched the dehumidifier On button,,,still smiling, strolled back to the door to switch off the lights,,,then with the decorum one must employ when leaving a room after an audience with a Royal, I turned and bowed towards her gorgeousness, reversing out of the door closing it firmly but quietly as I went.
Witness a man, living his dream.

Great piece of kit - will outlast the plastic Dyson ste any day. On no, here we go............. For sucking it's about the best, but for blowing go with the sidekick blaster. Unless the vac and it's filters are completely clean it does have a tendency to blast what's ever in its way with a super fine layer of dust, so you need to blow with clean air. I swapped out the lead on mine with a heavy duty 15m rubber cable, so no extension lead faff. Works a treat!http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/interior/metro-vac-v...

While the current Mrs gpb1 is away for a couple of days I chose to spend the time well in the garage polishing the p&j. Quite pleased with the result, though not up to the standard of certain detailers known in this parish.
I'm guessing when you settle in you are accompanied by a chorus of WATCH OUT beeps. Here's my routine

Hi all,
Finally got the chance to get out for a drive and take a couple of pics. Loving the car and thankfully the former owner (one owner car) clearly cherished it and kept the car in great condition - only 4k on the clock. I am undecided whether the plates that came with the car will stay, although actually I don't think they look too bad.
That's absolutely gorgeous. Always will have a soft spot for a white DBS.Finally got the chance to get out for a drive and take a couple of pics. I have to fold the mirrors in and have found that the parking assist beepers are very accurate. It's always a tad nerve jangling putting her away. Here's my routine

I have just spent the last few hours cleaning, following Paddy's guidance and product suggestions. Looking forward to driving down to Sicily this summer in her.

Nice to see things moving in the right direction Ian,the car looks epic.
Dig the plate,Eleanor and I were wondering what you would come up with on that front.
On a side note could you pm me with a contact address for Andrew ? who rocked up in the Teal Blue Roadster,
if you have it yet as he was after an AML Plate……….and my mate is now letting his go.
Enjoy your motoring……...

Our car is now ready for action which is just in time as we have a busy May planned. Collected her from Zaff at Project Kerma who has done a fantastic job on the paintwork and Autotint came down from Manchester to apply the film. We think she looks wonderful and a couple of pictures are attached.
Looks gorgeous Looking forward to seeing it the flesh (or metal!)I would not know how to choose which to drive. What a dilemma to have
Enjoy Fay
