Hi Ian,
I like how Darren has matched his shoes in readiness of driving your car...............,very considerate.
We are up in the Highlands again and I'm just about to remove several thousand squashed flying things from the front of Little Norman.....
Funny you should say that Ed. he did comment how good a match they were I like how Darren has matched his shoes in readiness of driving your car...............,very considerate.

Quick trip to the UK, so took in the Cat and Fiddle road in and out of Buxton. Great fun but obviously ruined by the 50mph average speed cameras.
Then on the way back to LGW visited Brooklands. After climbing the banking went to see the planes.
This Wellington was the highlight - fished out of Loch Ness in 1985:
Parked outside Mercedes World next to Brooklands. Stunning building. Didn't bother going in though, as I have to say I'm not in the slightest bit interested in anything Mercedes make. Even if their current F1 car is a bit nippy.

worth having a quick look as old Mercs (gullwings, pagodas etc) are dotted around the placeand there is the exploded F1 car installation which is a real treat
Had the car serviced at Bridge Mill Motors, top guys really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Car given a clean bill of health which is always a relief. Well apart from the front tyres which are pretty much done for, but I was expecting that.
Had a mooch around Macclesfield while waiting, found a menswear shop full of nice things, including a couple of mint retro bicycles if that's your thing, well I thought they looked lovely.
Shop is called John Douglas, worth a look if you have time to kill.
I then had a lovely drive back to Sheffield over the Cat & Fiddle
Finally just as I was turning for home at Ringinglow, I happened across another V8V, roadster though, and couldn't resist following him up the road for another quick blast
Question now is do I replace the 2 front tyres for more Bridgestones as the rears still have a fair bit of life in them, or bite the bullet and put a set of Michelin PSS on ??

Nice. How many miles have you done in it/how long have you owned that lovely car?
A few months & 2k miles see link below for buying infohttp://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&a...
It is utterly fantastic.
On Monday took the car to Yeovil looking like picture 1.picked it up today looking like this. This is all in aid of charity and the Rallyforheroes European road trip in 2016 in aid of SSAFA. I can be sponsored here My page: http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/team/RallyforHeroe...
Stretched Little Normans legs with a faultless 478 mile drive home from the Highlands.
Pulled along side a beautiful Black 3 headlight Lagonda open top tourer on the A1 at Ferrybridge that was doing a fair lick but the driver didn't respond to our smiles
or wave unfortunately as he sat defiantly in the middle lane hanging onto the steering wheel for grim death………
I'm not a buff but I think it could have been a 1934 M45 tourer, thats if I had to put a name to it.
Mister if your on here thats one fine looking motor car..

Yes a big ride but Norman ran really well and we avoided the most of the traffic coming back down by leaving early.
Really pleased with his behaviour and the fact that he returned 24.4 mpg………... if you believe the on board computer of course for the near 2k trip, not bad for a little un !.
I think I might be able to find a couple of photo's for the photo thread in a day or two when the camera surfaces……….
