What a fabulous project Ant - all the best with it and do keep us posted.
My mini project today was to delight the wife by procuring two new fireside ornaments for her - to hold dried flowers and reeds etc.
The left one is called Crackle and the right one Pop
Two small pieces of stainless steel have taken their place on the car and all for a very modest outlay indeed as I really swerved the Aston tax!

Custom exhaust shop can use my cats as templates now if you fancy releasing even more glorious V12 music David. Workshop v close to you too!

Just even better! Many more pops and crackles on the overrun with a squealier top end and generally about 20% louder. Flicking the back box exhaust valve switch to closed makes it as quiet as factory std which is fab as it can be a bit strong for the school run! I think its about 45bhp more too (ok I made that last bit up as its probably more like 4 bhp)!

Arrived home after a 2,000 mile tour of France in the Vantage which was bloody fantastic. I couldn't believe how much attention the car got, one guy almost crashed his scooter staring at us!
Highly recommended and I'm sure there will be more tours in the future. Maybe do the Circuit des Remparts in Angoulême next year

Nothing too fancy but tried to stay off the Peage as much as possible. Tunnel across and onto Reims, Lyon, Mougins, Aix-en-Prov, Millau, Monrecour and Marcay before getting the overnight ferry back. A few nights in each place.Lyon and Mougins were great but to be honest the main highlight was seeing some old friends that we hadn't spent time with for a few years as they now live in France. Oh yes, and blasting down some cracking D roads!
Low point was Monaco where all we saw was solid traffic and we nearly ran out of petrol - computer said 11km range as we finally found a fuel stop.
