So what have you done with your Aston today?

Did you say going to 295/35/19 from 295/30/19 - lowers the car ?
No it gives the appearance of lowing the car by reducing the arch gap. It actually raises the car up slightly which would then let me lower it using Nitron or something else to bring it down 10mm. I would have the same clearance as before (tyre wear dependant) but the car would look lower. This way I don't have to worry so much about the carbon splitter clearance.
Today I've dropped off some of the interior panels off my Vantage to get them re-finished.
One thing that had me scratching my head is why there was so many different shades and textures against the grey leather so I've dropped the parts off for hydro-dipping in a nice dark carbon fibre weave. The grey/bronze anodised sill covers, the matt grey ashtray cover and surround, the satin grey door pulls and handles, and the textured metallic grey ski slope & sat-nav lid are all going to get done along with the mirror covers and rear splitter.
I know some people won't like it but I'm certainly looking forward to seeing the results

Posted a rear light to the winning bidder (having changed from red to clear on the V8V, using condensation in one of them as the excuse to switch). Does look very nice now I must say!
How about a new set of wheels (to complete the look)?I might just happen to have a set for sale.

I think the clear lights need the right colour to really "work", not convinced they look right on my colour car, but the darker greys certainly seem to look good
Agree on this. Considered clears on mine but with a bit pf photoshopping i decided Fire Red doesnt look as good. The Surveyor said:

I am also looking forward to see the result of this one! Hopefully later this week. They normally have a 1/2 week turn-around time on parts and the samples I've seen are certainly impressive.
Quite a skilled task and they showed me dozens of combinations, silver weave transfer over a black base gives a different depth compared to a black weave transfer over a silver base, then there is different grades of tone in the lacquer, and these guys use air-brushing to add to the 3d effect to replicate where naturally laid carbon would be thicker.
Fingers crossed.

Wow!!! What a great job.
Who did it?
The photos are quite poor and don't really show the quality of the finish, the ski-slope is beautiful despite starting with the embossed aluminium original finish. They even made sure they dipped the sat-nav lid with the ski slope so the weave pattern matches, did the same with the ash-tray. Those who know will tell that it isn't real carbon, but just having all these parts a uniform colour and finish brings the interior together. Who did it?
I'll get some pictures up on the parts in place once I get some decent light.
They were done by Hydro Monkeys in Sunderland, and all for less than the price of a pair of real carbon mirror caps.

To confirm, I've no affiliation with them, other than being a satisfied customer.
