So what have you done with your Aston today?

Was taking a guy out for a first ride, and after a while he started fiddling with the window switch. I asked him what the matter was, and he said he wanted the window down.
Those switches annoy me too.
It seems to be press down, for window up.
Press up, for window down.
Someone once said, those switches came from a car that had them mounted horizontally, so in that case the operation becomes more logical.

Went out for a bite to eat at lunch on Friday and somehow ended up by a lake in the mountains
Must say these things are BUILT. I believe in England it would be a D or F road I took to get there. But other than suspension jitters and such these cars are rattle proof.

But then AM went and reversed the tach needle direction so maybe it's all part of the character we have grown to love .
However I like the way I can put two fingertips quickly into the switch recesses and confirm both windows up - that's useful, especially when's there's a wind noise and I don't know which window caused it.
Had a fantastic drive down to the Haynes International Motor Museum with 8 other Astons. The sun was shining and a brilliant day. Had always intended to pop in and see the museum but had never got round to it. Tremendous place with over 400 cars of all sorts on display and the recent upgrading work they have done is really successful. If you are heading down to the SW on the A303 then it is well worth stopping off at. There are even some Astons on display.
Got the DBS out of the garage, where I'd stored it for the winter. The dealer had serviced it right before I put it in there (they delivered it back to the garage) and had replaced a couple of the tyres. The tyre pressures were WAAAAAY off: 39/30 front (should be 36) and 34/35 rear (should be 38). Grrr.
Pressures set, I had a lovely blast locally with the windows down. Reminded me why I own the thing. It's awesome.

I always enjoy the photos you put up, you must spend a lot of time looking for suitable locations. Not that that is a hardship in an AM.
Thanks very much Kevin. I do drive around a bit, but the photo-ops are more spur of the moment and a meander down back roads often yields a spot!Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
