Drove Winky wkwish back from Rikki Cann's following its service on a new set of Michelin Pilot Super Sports. So much quieter than the original fit Yokohamas.
interesting (or not) but with the RS6 we have changed to MPSS and a much better ride as well.

Today I removed my old walnut centre fascia panel to a brand new gloss black unit.

It is the new metal type so I had to purchase a conversion kit, cost almost £1000 which was expensive, plus it's not manufactured very well because the sat nav lid didn't even open properly, I had quite a few problems with this job but got them all sorted in the end.

I also installed new Glass switches for the Park/Reverse/Neutral/Drive switches.

Really happy with it, with the grey leather interior I think it looks a lot better -

Blends really nicely mate. This job is on my list too and thought I would change for the glass buttons when doing it but generally baulk at the cost. Did you find a friendly supplier or was it just the std rrp?

I brought them all from Aston Martin bits, the brand new gloss black fascia with the conversion kit and the four glass switches cost £1250 !!

Really expensive but I didn't want to have my old walnut fascia dipped or painted, the satnav door didn't fit properly, the old fascia is the plastic type and after time it starts to bend and distort.

Now I have the new aluminium fascia and the satnav door is straight and flush.

Very expensive, but I thought I'd treat myself.

Interesting though that you've changed over to the gloss black.
Many people (including myself) couldn't get on with the reflections/glare it causes plus the fingerprints that get left.
I went over to CF, glad you're happy though and sincerely hope you get on with it better than I did smile

Back in the saddle in the V12V after a couple of weeks of playing with getting the best mileage from the new daily driver (Cayenne S E-hybrid). The Cayenne drives well for a large car .... but nothing like the Aston smile

Stripped mine of all the good bits ready to be handed over to the dealer next week frown It was actually really sad, I know they are not living beings but why do I feel guilty?

What a beautiful car , what colour is that please ?
Hi & thanks! Sorry this took so long to respond to, I've been quite occupied for the last few weeks! That colour, is Tungsten Silver, and it's quite a chameleonic paint I find, going from a light, bright silver in bright sunshine to a deeper, warm look in overcast conditions, and others in between, One of the more common Vantage shades originally and still reasonably popular.

I thought the DB11 looked good on the drive. My usual number plate editing skills are rubbish so I put the dog in the way. I'm afraid I have to hand the car back but I thought I'd write a bit about my experiences and impressions of the new model.

Stunning! That's the dog I drooled all over at Burghley and filmed barking perfectly on cue smile

Normally it's the dog that drools, not you.

With Christmas coming, I'm not sure how much the Vantage will get used over the next week or two so I plugged the trickle charger into the cabin lighter socket this morning. If it's just going to sit on the drive, it may as well sit there with a full battery.

Had a delivery a couple of hours ago, and after checking I was in fact the correct recipient the delivery driver gestured to the car and said :

I didn't know Aston Martin did electric cars?
