So what have you done with your Aston today?

[quote=Grumpydev]Gave it a good clean inside and out for a roadtrip down to the Three Choirs Vinyard - which I'd definitely recommend - came back with half a boot of wine and beer, and a very very dirty car from all the filthy B-Roads - not sure the photos do it justice!
To be fair filling the boot in an Aston isn't REALLY as much bear and wine as one would like!

Too true, once you squeeze the bear in there's hardly room for a couple of bottles of Cab Sav! Plus there's the blood loss from those claws which makes a mess of the carpets, but it certainly highlights the boot capacity none the less!CSK1 said:

Annoyingly the car has been at the dealers for the past 3 weeks having a service along with a new clutch & flywheel.
How many miles did you do with your clutch that you had to change it? It's on 22k miles. Not down to wear though.
I've had an ongoing issue with an emission warning light which although pinpointed to the gearbox never quite got resolved (ie it would come back intermittently after a month or so ).
Initially they flushed and replaced the hydraulic fluid which worked for a while.
During it's last service (3rd year just out of manufacturer warranty) I 'asked' them to sort it and not to return it until it was properly resolved.
AM and the gearbox manufacturer got back to JCT and said that a new clutch, flywheel and hydraulics were required.
Very nearly a 5k job!
Thankfully JCT argued my case and managed to get it all sorted FOC which of course I was over the moon about.
Just a shame that they couldn't find a fix during the number of times that they'd had it previously.
No light and the gearbox / clutch operation are like new.
Fingers crossed!

My BS radar would be on overdrive here! Gearboxes dont produce emissions or have lambda probes etc AFAIK? How did they explain this mate?Mate had a new box in his V12V recently too - lack of use I think Glad that fine looking thing is back to health though.
