I'll be videoing it with my onboard camera.......I've wanted to do a lap like this since I first went to Le Mans 5 yrs ago...........I can't explain just how excited I am, especially as I'll be doing the lap with 2 childhood friends who I've known quite literally since I was born, also in their own Astons, hopefully 3 abreast on the Mulsanne Straight

Looking forward to seeing that one taylor172 said:
jonby, look out for me in the Toro red V8, come say hello
Just the lap not the hospitality, it would have been nice but £3950!! maybe i can sweet talk my way into something on the day haha
I thought I saw them marketing the lap on it's own for £1k ? Hospitality is absolutely not cheap, but it's been dropped below the price you mention and is for 2 people, so isn't as bad as the headline figure makes it sound. Anyway we will definitely all be having fun - shouldn't be too hard to find you as I assume most of the cars will be silver or grey :-)

Or black Anyway, I'll have to avoid looking at this thread now. Would have loved to do this, but I only saw the "full" price advertised around £4k, which I just couldn't afford at the time

FYI, hospitality is normally c. £1.5kish per head at LM24, whether with Aston or others, including 'lesser teams/facilities'. I recognise it's a big 'if', but 'if' one is prepared to pay that price, this package becomes not bad value - AM have advertised it at £3,450 (hospitality for two plus parade lap for one car) if booking 5 places or more and AMOC have advertised it at £3,450 for their members regardless of numbers. I'm assuming from Taylor's last post that she may have paid less than 1k for the parade lap :-)
I have been trying to do one of the parade laps on the morning of the race for the last few years and heard all kinds of wild prices mentioned, all of which are at least 1k, many of which are several times that figure
Of course accepting it's market value and perhaps, VFM, is not the same as being able to justify and/or afford it. I haven't worried about justifying it......I'd never have stopped regretting it if I didn't take the opportunity whilst it was there....

Once in a lifetime opportunity this, Centenary year, drive the full circuit!! actually getting goose bumps thinking about going up under the dunlop bridge!
I just checked the mirror, I can confirm its true, you can turn green with envy. (see, how green is that). Its great to be able to read these 'from the heart' feelings about the parade lap, no I can't be there but I'm going to get as close as I can and you guys are helping that happen. Y100 said:

There seems to be an automatic assumptionby many that a lot of supercar ownership is more about the material side of things but the reality, as you've identified and probably know already, is that it's the experiences in the cars which are the most important thing and events like this seem to turn us all into excited schoolkids !Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
