I hope you can get your speed up because the full circuit is 'awesome'; and I do not use that word lightly
Have done it at successive Classic Le Mans, usually a 3 lap session; doesn't sound like much but that's 25 miles! Done it in the Marcos twice, DB7 and Alfa... yet to take the DB9 round. Will be the Morgan next year at the Classic
Flat out along the start-finish straight from the Ford Chicane, just nail it, the track is SO wide there and then you climb the hill off-camber all the way up. The Dunlop bridge chicane is where it generally goes wrong
Enjoy, I will be there, Astonless but waving you on with a bottle of champagne in my hand

its a really odd feeling i cant quite describe, owning the aston is much more than "owning an aston" its the kids that stop and point, the the old men doddering down the street that stop and smile, its the bhy little comments from middle aged wilmslow women who dont like the fact a girl half thier age drives a car they would dream to have.
Its the events, its the super car meets and standing back watching complete strangers admire your machine and have thier kids stand next to it for a photo, its knowing that the boots full of crap and the glove box stuffed with empty sweet wrappers.
Its the people you meet, the forums you use and the experiences that money cant buy (well it can, it comes at the price of owning an aston)

I must admit, this did not appeal to me particularly when you first mentioned it jonby. I have to say, I was wrong and I am now very envious
Posting of video is a requirement
Cockers, I can get you two or three full laps before the Classic LM race starts next year if you're interested..? About 140 quid Posting of video is a requirement

What !....it's the ultimate convoy run surely. Plus you have 25,000 potential viewers !. Posting of video is a requirement
Far better then 10 mph through Little Dunny On The Wold and a park up at the Little Chef

The opportunity to go flat out down the Mulsanne straight without a subsequent loss of talent before the chicane, does appeal.... I am sure someone will have a video on youtube that I could study I guess

I can see why it might have been seen as too expensive to justify but not why it wouldn't appeal in general ! But at least you've now seen the error of your ways :-)Posting of video is a requirement
Yeti's plan sounds excellent - I'd dearly love to do the Classic but I can't see myself doing both Le Mans in the same year and I'm not in a rush to give up regular Le Mans, so it will have to wait for now....

I am sat at my desk looking at the clock waiting for the hours to tick by thinking Imwish I was going today, so I look on Pistonheadscand the first post I see has my thoughts.. spooky
on a more mundane note have you guys thought of how th get your car clean for the parade?
There used to be a jet car wash opposite te Carrefour up from Tetre Rouge, is it still there.

All this talk of parade laps at Le Mans has got me jealous! We were there 2 years ago & met Yeti for the first (of many) time(s). Hope the stag do goes well mate, say hi to Tristan from us.
Right, I'm off to post on the Brands Hatch thread about our parade laps (yes, plural - Saturday & Sunday)

It was there last year. I've been thinking the same, though arguably there's no better looking Aston than one that shows signs of having been driven :-)on a more mundane note have you guys thought of how th get your car clean for the parade?
