now that is very funny.........please tell us how much it was and please describe Phil's face as he saw it for the first time smile
It was £1,536 for lunch for 4. Includes tip and wines.

My treat smile
Out of curiousity (the world of 3 star restaurants is one I barely know)....was it worth the tab?

I can believe that was the bill......I've paid a few large lunch bills in my time, but that would make me wince a little as its more than I pay for a weekend in London including 1st class rail.....4* Hotel(normally the White House) lunch at the Ivy (where I always get smashed) dinner at Yauatcha (which has a star)and sex at the local Gay club !

Wow !!! you got rogered too smile

What is the actual terminology for more than one knobhead.

Would it be a 'helmet' of knobheads confused

Btw Rich, I just went onto your JustGiving page to put on a tenner for your charity.....but it has expired frown

Having watched that and the resulting collision with the barrier reminded
me of a certain road with a 'built in' possible death trap from 40 years
ago and is still like it today!

This is on the A102 (check out the location of the lamp posts)

http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=A102&ll=51.482...

Silly bloody place to put them on a 50 mph limit dual carriageway.

When I used to live near there overlooking a section of that road I saw a car
skid into the wall and a lamp post took the entire NS of the car off eek

Excellent question, William !!!

Mr Gould and I frequent a 1 star on the Wirral called Fraiche and Marc the chef is VERY similar in his scientific approach to Heston.....at one third the price.

Was there are 2 star difference between these restaurants ??? No.

Did we pay for celebrity status of the chef ??? Yes.

Did I get to oggle Nick's wife Rachel while she was tipsy ?? Most certainly yes

Especially as hardly anyone drives at 50mph on that road, more like 70. Of course, I don't go any faster than 49mph officer...

Fraiche is truly the bargain of M* .....I haven't eaten there since New Years Eve but on that evening I think he bill was £450 (for 4) including 3 bottles of half decent plonk and 8 courses....Marc is an outstanding chef of international standing.

If preserved correctly; I suspect somewhere between courses 3&4 with some pea shoots and a splash of chefs special sauce.
