Just had my V12V Detailed... UNBELIEVABLE!
Discussion
Car looks stunning!
Can someone please explain the exact dangers of posting a pic of your car with the registration plate showing? I get it if you're some sort of famous person, but for the average individual?
Will post a pic of my V8S late this year when it arrives and need to develop a strategy.

Dangers of posting numberplates = same as putting your real name on here - people will know its you and may be able to find out your address (eg by paying dvla and saying you did a bump n run in a carpark) then monitor the forum for news of when you are away on your aston jaunt to SOF then rob you blind?? Bit far fetched but could happen hence slight anonymity on forums/the Internet

You do realise that by showing your plate there will be 30 copues of your car by the end of the week
Can't people do the same if they see it in the street or on the road?! tuffer said:

I've never understood the idea behind not showing your reg plate on the internet; because the whole world can see my number plate when my motor is not in my garage - it's a legal requirement. Nice and shiny that. I got mine fully detailed at PDI stage to protect and serve from the get go; then I have her detailed every fortnight to keep the looks going.
Rather long winded but several useful statements at the end (on subject of plates): http://jalopnik.com/5941797/should-you-bother-obsc...

Your car looks absolutely brilliant after the detailing.
Re. the number plate discussion, I cannot work out any connection between Matt,
and ST11 MOX.
Have I overlooked the obvious?
my surname is Stimson and known as stimo to many, hence why it's not st11 mox, but st11mo x =)Re. the number plate discussion, I cannot work out any connection between Matt,

It's more likely the plate can be 'cloned' then put on another black Vantage. Then 'Stimo' might start receiving tickets from parts of the country that he's never been to.stimshady said:

Mind you, said car has an illegally spaced number plate.
stand around London for a bit and you'll see many, many, many more!I was with someone a while ago in a Corvette and he got stopped for having a small plate (it is legal because it's an import). He actually carries a printout of the DVLA regulations with him for just such an occurrence.

But someone could do that on any street corner. So I agree utter none sense.
Detail looks the best on a black car very hard to get it right even harder to keep it that way!
