Mine too,,,,,It appears Omaruk added it Ed,,,,,perhaps you could ask him to explain,,,,confused

Edited by Y100 on Thursday 22 August 17:36
Bob in a way you just have,Does anyone know of Omaruk as his profile gives nothing away and his Garage looks emptyconfused.

Omaruk or is it Omar please give us a clue my old beauty as I'm trying to help everyone here and as the list is for attending Cars it would be nice to
know your bringing one or indeed is AVIAN LARD a person, car owner or a figment of some ones over active imagination.

Seriously I'm trying to plan something out here where true numbers are important and as I have a target to try and meet or better to obtain as I've said before a
reduced rate of entry it would be nice to be dealing with fact rather than fiction.........

Bob we may need to call Miss Marple for this one, it all seems a mystery to me scratchchin.

BTW everyone the date went Official today with BURGHLEY HOUSE........SUNDAY 27TH July 2014 and yes I know I'm repeating myself......its an age thing, apparently.

Those wanting an appointment with Half the Sea Bed at the George Hotel be advised to book early or face probable disappointment.thumbup

Nice to see the GEORGE is so popular, has any one considered any of my other suggestions?.

Have a look at Hambleton Hall on Rutland Water if you really want the full treatment,www.hambletonhall.com

There you go Lewis hows that for an Anniversary special weekend and this could well be the ideal place for our
very own George.

I believe they can provide you with your own Private Butler so what better do you want George, year away or not
its got to be one for you to consider.

The Grubs great at Hambleton and the wine list is exceptional so there's one to wet your appetites.

Nice to see 2 notable additions to the attendee's list yesterday whilst I was boring the arse off everybody at Carfest.

Ian and Tim good on ya for contemplating the trip up from the South West it'll be great to have your company.

Come on we need a move from our friends in the North to make this a truly cosmopolitan event,Phil we'll need
the Mako Monster there so come on down.

No one from Eastern Europe down yet surprisingly..............paperbag,everyones welcome.

Richard if your planning on coming stick ya name on the list theres a good fellow........See from your profile that you are out in Norfolk so it might only
be a day trip for the both of you, mind you..............

If the good Lady is intent on the Ge'ant Plateau de Fruits de Mer its probably best you book an overnight stay as by the time she's waded through that lot
and enjoyed swilling it down with a drop of Roussanne Marsanne or something of choice she'll be ready for a lay down.........trust me I've clawed it down
my neck a time or two, lovely if your into the odd Crustacean and the occasional Sea Mollusc but its a big un!.

If you didn't stop over however the Garden Room Restaurant at the George is lovely and you don't need a reservation which is ideal if you fancy it straight
after the meet at Burghley,if your in early doors you'll be fine for a table.

For everyones General knowledge the Garden Room is open all day.thumbup

[quote=Biggriff]Just mentioned to Mrs BG and she saw the seafood platter at The George so it looks like we are coming as well :-)

Blimey the hotels are booking fast. We are in the Bull & Swan which looks good!

Can't wait. Will be my first Aston event.

BG

You'll not go wrong at the B&S,its just up the hill 400 yards from the George so Mrs BG can still get her Platter.

You'll be another one so close to Burghley House that you'll be able to leave the car at the Pub and walk up,you can't get much closer.............hehe

Are you telling me the George are already fully booked then ???????.

To save any confusion and indeed disappointment I have just spoken with the George.

Their Reservations office is currently closed but will reopen at 9.00 am tomorrow morning,I have just had
confirmation that rooms are still available and they advise ringing to reserve one as their on line facility may
be dysfunctional as the event is almost a year away.

So plenty of room at the Inn for those that fancy the experience and for those undecided do go to their home
page on their website, click on Hotel and click the drop down and take the video tour yes.............all very civilised you know.

Well I hope that helps.............thumbup

Let me know by pm or what ever who has booked the George,if you like I'll look into a private dinning room for the Saturday night
if you all fancy a get together and knees up................let me know party.

I called and left my name for a reservation when they return tomorrow. I was also told that they only accept two night reservations. They did say they have reserved parking for people with sparkly cars so us Ceramic Grey people are sorted biggrin

It would be great if we could all dine in a room together. Seafood platter for me thanks cloud9
I'm sure normality will resume if you contact them tomorrow,as I said earlier in the day theres plenty of rooms left at the Inn.

My Wife seems to think this crafty 2 night booking thing revolves around the amount of bookings that Burghley and other events around
the town give them,we think as its so far in advance they're covering themselves so their not left with empty rooms on the Sunday night.
Also from what I understand from my conversation today is that tariffs and availabilities haven't yet been released for next years calendar,
so you never know they may reduce the tariffs.......hehe

That said its that popular you do right to book now.On the Piss up,sorry I'm mean Dining front I don't mind organising something once
we get some numbers together.

The way I look at that is its just another excuse for me to take the Wife to the Garden Room so that she can witness in horror me shovelling
everything in sight down my fat neck..................BTW the George Sherry Trifle's a blinder.

Again its all a long way off so we'll just have to wait and see how many willing gluttons we have in attendance.

Topman Jockers,

Thats made my evening clap what a valiant repost after that stunning bombshell followed by your erie silence.

Please note in your short posting absence I have tried to step up to the plate to keep things moving on but
your posting wizardry is hard to follow, but at least its good to know your out there keeping a watchful eye
on our sordid proceedings,a bit like a Dogger in the woods I suppose.

Brilliant news I'll now start collecting straw and willow for my wicker construction that will await your
triumphant return to the field of play..

Excellent on the noshing front as well as it'll give um time to arrange the booster seat..............biglaugh

I bet you've taken the Video tour of the George and seen those Scones haven't you........thats whats swung it...yum

Cheers Phil its genuinely nice to know you'll be back amongst us for the weekend,a weekend which just keeps promising
to get better and better.............................

Now go and sort out Mikey,George,MG,Neil and the rest of them from up your neck of the woods and we'll have a right
old Beano on our hands beer.

All in a days pissing about Bob,all in a days pissing about........

Its a pleasure Bob and let there be many more, like I said on my return to the fold I intend being active for the good of us all and if the
general interest is there and if I don't get on everyones nerves I'm sure I'll have many more events hidden up my ample sleevethumbup.
