You chav, don't forget the black alloys, personal number plate (with misplaced letters) and Ray Bans.
All adds to costs.
I think wrap is about £2K. smile

Can someone who is in the know please advise me on matters regarding white?

How do costs match up for a white wrap vs complete respray in white vs buying another car of the same in white?

Also, do you get as near a good finish (in depth) from a white wrap over a correctly resprayed white pain job?

As much as I think black is immensely gorgeous colour, I am growing weary of daily washing, polishing and uncovering new stone chips, scuffs and minor scratches (which I know will happen on a white car too, but will be considerably less noticeable...)

And I fully understand the Chavness of my request...
haven't wrapped the DB9 yet, have wrapped the Murcielago (as it happens in gloss white); and will be changing wrap colour as soon as its back from a gearbox rebuild.

A gloss wrap in standard white is absolutely as good as a paint job; does not chip as easily (actually protects paint) or scratch easily.

I don't think dark gloss colours are as good as paint; but for solid (non-metallic) light colour I think wraps are excellent.

You should get away with a PREMIUM job for £1600 (I highly recommend PW Pro) near nottingham- these guys are ridculously meticulous, take out the lights, door handles, and even the sills as well as bumpers- really can't tell its a wrap even in the door shuts.

TMC in London do a decent job for about £1000-1300, but do not go to the lengths of PW Pro... as all things, depends on budget.

I have seen some decent white pearls recently too.

I'm considering doing the Aston in either DARK green metallic (kind of BRG metallic; or metallic dark red/burgundy) as recently saw a range rover where it looked very convincing

rememeber even the wraps can be waxed (no need for polish) to maintain finish (yes there is a wax for MATTE finishes too).

My DB9 is metallic black, but its an 05 model and the sills need re-doing and the paint needs correction (this can cost £300-£800 for a full correction) so you can see the wrap being good value.

Seriously, do a gloss 3m white with PW Pro, and I bet at any aston day, no one would pick it as non- paint (except concourse judges).

Bragging rights eh?
Well I have the Ray Bans AND personal plates but kept the DB9V black.
Numbers were slightly mispaced but changed that when George had a dig. smile

I'm sure George will be along soon to remind you that a white wrap or respray represents particularly good value during a recession!

Haha! yes very chavtastic! I actually have Oakley's, not RB's! I do have a private plate but certainly not trying to spell anything! S1EVE.... (not really)
W11 SHU....

Certainly aint going black shoes though, anthracite/grey for sure.
Yes i will be lowering it (20mm HnR), yes i will be spacing the rears out very slightly, NO i won't be putting 20's on!
No i won't be window tinting!
No i don't have anything hanging from anywhere on the car inside or out!

Just starting to prefer the vantage in white that's all!

If the white gloss wrap is as good as you say I may seriously consider it!
I got the anthracite DBS wheels... 20"..... yes I'm lowering it (and putting a hydraulic nose lift on to compensate); not H&R coils- either a custom solution, or the lift+ Penske Coilovers (can lower and corner weight a car with coil overs). If you have a vantage, try the KW HLS kit (ie 3 way adjustable coil overs, and hydraulic nose lift for speed bumps/ramps etc)

No ,no it was not you I was referring to as condescending, perish the thought.
It was your mate LBS.
As for your invitation, thank you that is very kind.
So that's me ,the wife and the valet.
Would liked to have joined you at Burghley House but I believe it's "oop norf" and I do not know if I could cope with that. smile

Alwight ,just about in the circumference I am inclined to cover, although that will double my annual mileage.
Will it be on a Sunday, bright sunshine, wind coming off the warmer continental countries AND can I stay at your castle?
Hang on a Jacksy per car ,that's a bit steep, might have to think about that, can't sub me for a couple of weeks my lad ?
So give me the SP Ed.

I'm sure collectively some one on here will be charitable enough to cover your costs, ideaLBS,possibly even a bit extra for your bin,Cockers may even split
any share of any intended blag and you can keep anything else you find of interest around the grounds......especially if the keys have been left inlaugh.

Does that sound convincing enough to encourage a Sunday Morning Blast.....we've got Deer and Pheasants you knowthumbup.
