Come on Steven its meant to be the old codgers like me that can't remember………..confused

We are in the Daniel Lambert room which is part of the grand Oak Panelled dining room, they have a fancy sliding Oak partition that divides the room for private functions
such as ours.

The George is a lovely place full of character, much like Stamford in some ways so I hope you enjoy your visit.

Pending the duration of your stay try the Garden Room restaurant as thats very nice and is most tranquil amongst the plants.

If your there on the Saturday afternoon and the sun shines sit outside in the courtyard and sip your Pims, all very civilised don't you know…...drink
just sit back and soak up the silence until some noisy bugger in another Aston turns up……..hehe

Last thing don't forget to park in the hopefully reserved bit at the top of the main Car Park nicely out of the way.…….thumbup

Sorry just bumping this as some have missed it…….party

Just to inform you of a few details,

The dress code is smart casual and I'm assured tidy jeans are acceptable as we are dining in a private room.

The meal will be served at 7.30 pm with pre meal drinks available in the bar,I shall be at the George and in the bar from about 6.30 pm to socialise prior to the bun fight.

A table plan will be on view to see the seating arrangements, please sit in your allocated places as thats where your choice of Dinner will hopefully turn up……..scratchchin

I have endeavoured to seat people together that know each other where ever possible so please bear with me on the seating arrangements as I've done my best to accommodate
everyone where ever possible.

Hotel residents may book drinks to there room but all non residents may run a table bill which must be cleared on the evening prior to leaving, the staff will take orders
for your drinks if you do not wish to wander to the bar,it's best to have the table service imo.

This table bill will be for the group on the table as the George will not be able to run individual bills per person or couple on the table so we will have to split it between us if you follow.

I have requested some parking spaces to be reserved for the hotel residents Aston's which I understand will be at the far end of the car park which is accessed by the up ramp in the
mid car park area, then left into the upper zone.

You will not have clearance issues at a steady pass.

Although the Hotel has agreed in principle to my private parking allocation they have not 100% guaranteed it at this point may I say,but fingers crossed they will comply…..smash

I can't guarantee any places for the evening guests but as many are resident in near by hotels I presume the short trip to the George will be under taken by foot or taxi.

If your an evening guest and you are taking your Aston the tip is to arrive early to find the space at the George.

There is however a public car park which won't be busy on a Saturday night just outside the George Car Park which is a Pay and Display affair.

Any questions please shout.

Just booked the George. Looking forward to seeing and putting faces to names on here. For avoidance of doubt I'll be the short Scots guy at the bar.
OK, I'll be the other short Scots guy at the bar! Looks like we'll be dining at the aforementioned Pizza Express across the road if anyone would rather pepperoni to fine food and wine smile

Worry not the Garden room is first class.

We shall all be looking out for you,but unfortunately the other little Scots Chap has withdraw from his public duties on this one I'm afraid.

I'm sure you will hold up the tradition of what we would have expected from the original Blue Man……..yes,that being always first to the bar insisting
on buying everyones drinks through out the night.

Real generous that Blueman, so feel free to carry on in his place…...thumbup
