It's not just stones laying in the rims, so as you move off they rattle as they fall back to the bottom - but faster & they become 'centrifuged' to the rim??

Just a thought.

I've noticed that small stones do lay on the V12 rims, but I doubt not so much that it would be audible from inside the car. But I like your thinking.

Just checked and rims are clear. Starting to annoy me now. Not so much the noise but not knowing what it is furious

This was an old GTR problem. I know that stripping the brake assembly and cleaning solved the noise. Dirt build up was the culprit and maybe running through the gravel has left high dust deposits that are now causing the problems.

Greasing of the pin was a short term fix, may be worth a try as at least it might help identify where the issue is? Maybe Teflon coating of the bells or a high temperature silicon coating for the pins may prove to be the answer.

Ask your Garage Man to blast some HP air around, that might do it.
