Great day of very tight racing under blue skies and a blazing sun, marred by the pre reserved only, overpriced seats in the stands, which meant many seats were empty and stayed that way. Also a huge fuss was made about the 50th birthday of the 911, including a spectacular display of some very lovely examples, but not a mention of Astons centenary!

Hi Russ, pretty much the same at the Goodwood festival earlier this year with Porsche having the limelight and we couldn't find any mention of Astons centenary .... shame.

There were over 400 Astons at Silverstone Classic this year with most doing a parade lap - you wouldn't have guessed it from the TV highlights (or should I say lowlights) though

Yep, to major events celebrating German cars, specifically a model that has been around half as long as Aston. Very disappointed in the ITV4 coverage of silverstone classic, no mention of Astons at all. It a shame we don't talk ourselves up a bit more.
