Is it worth having one fitted? What should i expect to pay to get one fitted at a main dealer?
I took the fuse out of my V8 and it made a real difference did it breifly on the V12 could'nt notice a difference.

I cannot exit from lightweight seats. I look like a beached whale trying to reach the sea again!

BR do it for around £100 plus breakfast or cakes. I had it done on my old V8V for a contribution to Help for Heroes.

Mine doesn't seem that loud, nice, but not that loud.

It has made me kind of realise how loud my V8V is though after the BR treatment. laugh

By pass switch makes a huge difference an a V12. Our Rapide had it fitted and it was the loudest car I've driven.

It was £370 + VAT at Works Service.

I've now fitted this switch but can't get it to work.
Where do you earth it you can see where I have, this could be the problem or it is simply broken.
I have turned the spade round numerous times and the light on the blipped works when I press it.
Unless my valves are permanently open?
Fuse22.net doesn't have contact details.

I'm not sure if I am misunderstanding here, but if just the removal of the fuse 22 activates the flap open, then I dont see how it can be so difficult to install a simple on-off switch between the terminals of fuse 22 in the fusebox, but keeping the fuse in the circuit in series for safety. This can be done in seconds for far less than a tenner.

How on gods earth are people quoting hundreds of pounds to do this? I am missing a part of the puzzle here?

Unless we are running cables right through the car to switch it from the cabin, or using some remote control system to activate, or rather, deactivate it, it just could not be simpler.

My quote included an open/close switch installed on the steering column.
