My Father has just bought one of these...he is thrilled with it as he has hankered after one for as long as I can remember.
The only small thing letting it down is that it is missing a tonneau cover.
I couldn't believe how much they were when I asked Aston..circa £1200 !!!
Really...I only wanted the tonneau not shares in the company !!!
Anyway I wondered if anyone had one that they might want to sell or knew of one ?
Or even knew of some trimmer that could make one up for us?
There is one on Ebay for £700 but that still seems extreme ....
Thanks in advance for reading this and your help would be appreciated.

Yep that's Astons for you
Two suggestions
Don't bother it will be a pain to remove and store each time you want to put the roof up frown (had this problem on a previous car)
If you really want one borrow one from an AMOC member and get an upholsterer to make a copy wink

Sadly the price reflects these things being very rare on the used market. eBay and the AMOC forum would seem the best places to look.

Try giving Chiltern Aston a call. They are AM approved DB7 specialists. They may be able to help with something aftermarket.

They do seem to finish the car off when fitted, but they are a bit fiddly. £1200 is a bit steep, if its a keeper though, you may not actually lose any money on it long term.

Never mind that though........new Aston purchase??? Pics are compulsory around here, don't you know.

Cant do pics today...its RAINING !!!!!!
Tried to get on to the AMOC forum but have to wait for my registration to be checked.
If anyone out there is already a member could they please ask the person selling the Tonneau how much they were hoping to get for it?
I believe it is green but I reckon I could dye it Navy?
Any thoughts anyone?
It is Mohair so it can't be that difficult?

Where in uk r u , I know of a man in Norfolk who is pretty good and could probably match your car colour , but he would need a pattern to work from....other than that try importing after market one from China.....they make most things...

Hi Sarah,

Just looked on the AMOC site - it is in the section for 'Bits & Pieces for sale < £300.

The description is 'Original Mohair green tonneau (long centre piece) generally in fine order ex the side panels - both of which are creased.' and I believe the seller lives in Southport. Is it the right colour for you?

Thanks a million.
Ideally I would like cream or navy but I am sure I could dye a green one.
Mohair can't be difficult to dye?
Any thoughts?

I'll stick my neck out and say that one size fits all. How well it fits is another matter though with a handmade part - each one would probably have been made to the car at least slightly, like the hoods are!

A decent and bored trimmer should make you up a leather on (if they have a pattern) for a few hundred. It's a faff getting them on and off but they really keep the road dirt off the inside of the roof, especially if you have a pale hood lining - mine was silver alcantara and showed everything!

If only I could find a trimmer that has done one before and has a template?
Any ideas?
