We have the opportunity for up to 30 forum Aston owners, to enjoy a day driving your p&j around Rockingham using their International Super Sportscar circuit. This post is to test the level of interest.

The cost per car for the day looks like being £300ish, it will include an Instructor (1 per 10 cars) use of the paddock and pit lane garages. Full catering fascilities are available. For general circuit details go here: http://www.rockingham.co.uk/

For more details on our event you can pm please.

A little more detail; How its being suggested it works is that once a member registers interest, then I ask for a non-refundable cheque made payable to Rockingham circuit, that provides reassurance to the member they are in and to me that I'm not going to be landed with a shortfall should there be anyone dropping out at the last minute.

For now lets start a list which at this stage is to gauge the level of interest only.

Molly and I would like to attend this Track Day. I have a concern though. Will Pearl be deemed a bit loud? I know all these race circuits have noise limitations. I would hate to get there and be told that Pearl was too naughty to play. To be honest Molly and I have never noticed any unwelcome decibels wink Just a glorious V8 Burble!

Im also interested but have the same noise concern. I have a quicksilver backbox so Im pretty sure Im over 100dB's.

Rockingham is one of the more stringent with static tests and drive by detectors
This is why I've not even considered this one frown

Track days are class 1a of attached

The only way you can do it is to back off at certain parts of the track or short shift using the car with exhaust flaps shut. Also do the static noise test with the flaps shut wink

It can be done as I did this once whistle but then got BR to get the noise down to 99dB with the flaps open.
