Hi Y100,
Not sure if this has been covered on previous pages (went back to about page 20!). Just wondered what the procedure is for those of us who would just like to come and watch and meet up with other owners?
Many thanks for arranging this, it should be a great day!
Cheers.

"With regard to the evening meal - we do not have a restaurant at the Hampton. We have a leisure zone where all our guests may sit, however the menu is very light and snacky so I am not sure if this would work for you and your colleagues? There are some lovely restaurants nearby if you wish to dine out. The front desk will have a selection of menus for you."
So.... Everyone do your own thing......
I'm fine with Macdonalds as long as it is a takeaway. Having said that though I'm convinced that their burgers contain some form of laxative. I'm nervous enough as it is without the Big Mac effect adding to my on track fears.

Anyone travelling up from that there big London and want a relativly uncommunicative and slightly heavy passenger with snazzy green driving shoes?
BR have my car and my life would be much easier if they took it to the track for me and I met them there with it! Other option is catching the 'train' to Corby, which sounds like there could be people on it

According to the Bobster's link, we need to be there by 9am... There's a 7:03 getting to Rugby at 7:51 or a 7:46 getting there at 8:41.
Can't you drive faster? I need my sleep
The earlier you get there the more bacon butties you can eat. Make sure you travel 1st too so as to avoid the riff raff Can't you drive faster? I need my sleep

Hi Dave http://ojp.nationalrail.co.uk/service/timesandfare...
Two issues here:-
a. 1st class on this route is far to cheap leading to the inevitable
b. Have you ever been to Corby

Just thinking out loud here, we could just go to a local restaurant, there looks like there are a few curry houses within a few minutes of the hotel. Two or three taxis between us would cover it, and it would be nicer to all sit down together - I don't get to use cutlery often ya know .
What do those on the list think?

Couple of things - we can't be drinking much (if we have any sense at all) the night before a track day so lets just drive … &, considering the nerves aspect maybe a curry the night before isn't a great idea either (the blokes may disagree) … so how about this (for example):
