Old topic I know but a friend of mine recently changed jobs and told me he was the Chief Engineer on a Super yacht, the Quattroelle.
I googled it and what was one of the first pictures I saw.
My friend tells me he spends his day's in Dubai Marina polishing the chrome rocker covers. And the Russian working girls!

It's a shame what happened to Quattroelle. She was purchased by the royal family in the Emirates and as you say now spends 95% of her time tied up in Dubai marina getting covered in Sand. The same family own M/Y Dubai (As well as a few others) so spend most of their time on their.

I am now in Holland getting a 104mtr sailing yacht ready for delivery. She is stunning and will be the largest private sailing yacht in the world when delivered.
Ah that would explain why he has been asked about transferring to the Dubai.

The A-thing is probably not yet delivered and it's ugly and calling it a sailing yacht is a shame; that's as much sailing as the Cygnet was AML...

Thats not the one I am working on. 'A' is not a Sailing yacht by definition, she is a motor yacht which is sail assisted. The one I am working on now is a 'Sailing yacht' very similar to the 'Maltese Falcon'.....Only bigger....

DynaRig is better that the A-crap but it's as well far from elegant or beautiful IMO.

Does look very nice indeed, although I can't help but think it would look better if it had an engine and no masts!

I think it would look better if it had a single mast, old school, 100+m high; but the owner pays for it so it's his (or her) choice :-)
