Excellent, can't wait Ed, this has been a long time in the making and I am sure it will be a splendid day.

BTW, anyone else staying in Wansford on Saturday evening, my other half and I are in the Haycock Hotel?

Cheers

Steven,

I was tempted to say dogging is welcomed in the Park, but I thought it might just tip you over the edge………..whistle

Fantastic effort Ed. Well done and thanks for all your hard work.

Do not know why I haven't done it before (probably because I just accepted it was going to be a great day with so many Astons there) but just looked at the Burghley website - what a fantastic place yes

Looking forward to it even more now - if that was possible smile

Oh dear me,it appears that making my acquaintance ,albeit only by way of this forum, has exposed your alter ego.
Gone is the genial, conservative gentleman to expose the racy, pacy Mr Naughty. laugh

Thanks Ed. Really looking forward to this.

My dad, sister and her boyf will be also be coming up, probably in something as gauche as a FF Range Rover. Do the non-Astonauts go to a different entrance or will they just be pointed to a car park for the plebs by your army of stewards?

Cheers!

And for anybody coming up from London / SE, let me know if you want to convoy up.

I'm in East Laaaand'n, so will either be going up the M11 via Cambridge or A10/A6 via Bedford.

Happy to rendez-vous at a convenient location (contact @AMDBSNick for reviews on UK lay-bys) on the way with any other Southern-dwellers.

Morning Adam,

Its the same or only entrance to Burghley in use for public entry,on arrival they will be waved in at no charge by yours truly or Patrick.

If they want a concession ticket or 2 for the House it will cost them a fiver which goes to Burghley but it will save half on the House and Gardens,if that helps.

Once past the Gate House its only a sort drive to the tree lined General Car Park where all non display vehicles are requested to park.

Its only a very short walk to where the Astons will be at,if there are any mobility issues please let me know and I'll sort something to make it easy for you.

Look forward to seeing you on the day.

Ed.

Hi Gareth,

Yes - so are we - are you going to the dinner at The George - if so, perhaps share a taxi?

Greatly looking fwd to this. So much so that her indoors now wants to tag along and so we're bringing her Motorhome back from Italy a day early, thereby travelling an unplanned 600miles in 1 day, with kids, in order to be able to drive BR Project Mathis DB9 Vol 150miles from Wales to BH on 27th morning.
Er, still with me? Dedicated to your cause I am!
Anyway she who must be obeyed has therefore requested, nay demanded, overnight accomodation on Sunday night, as refusing to travel back to wales same day.
Question: does BH do Airbnb on those state rooms? As she's partial to a bit of stucco ( did Elizabethans do stucco btw?) or can you recommend alternative local hostelry?
Grazie
Ciao

Evening Mike,

I think I get it………lol.

Have a look on the original Burghley topic, the one thats the sticky near the top of the forum page……………...yes

Go to page 3, post number 11 if my memory serves me right and you will find plenty of suggestions.

Hope that helps but if you get stuck drop me a pm and I'll find my wand.

Richard, Jo and I were slow off of the blocks and didn't get into dinner, therefore just staying there and probably eating there too.

Maybe see you in the bar.

David

Does anyone know the Guy that owns the Jet 1 Aston as it would be great to get the Car along on the day.

If you do give him a poke or let me know please.

Thanks.
