Evening Mike,

I think I get it………lol.

Have a look on the original Burghley topic, the one thats the sticky near the top of the forum page……………...yes

Go to page 3, post number 11 if my memory serves me right and you will find plenty of suggestions.

Hope that helps but if you get stuck drop me a pm and I'll find my wand.

Regards,

Ed.

Does anyone know the Guy that owns the Jet 1 Aston as it would be great to get the Car along on the day.

If you do give him a poke or let me know please.

Thanks.

Bad news Ed. As AMOC members will know had a bit of mild trauma with the DB5 recently. And despite trying over the weekend I've not been able to fix the lean mis-fire (essentially the carbs are going to have to come off).

I've contacted a couple of transport companies to see whether, at short notice, there's any chance of someone trailering it up there. But I'm not holding out too much hope. So I might have to bring the DB9 instead - on the bright side at least that's not silverbiggrin
Rob,

Bad luck there, I hope its a straight forward and not a too costly a fix.

Don't worry about shipping it up for the event the main thing is for you,Anna and the DB9 to come along…….smile

Hi

Do we know who is parking where on the day as yet?

I am not so sure about name badges, although it would enable visability of fellow PHers, the recent comments about certain companies may lead to one almighty punch up hehe
Parking will be allocated on the day Tony as with potentially so many coming my Stewards and I will have our hands full, please just follow their instructions…...smile

Don't worry about name Badges thats Steven just Avinalarf………..thumbup

Good question and I'm pleased some one asked.

Cash is always appreciated as it will go straight into the charity bucket on the day to be counted and removed by the Charity Representatives.

Cheques can be made payable to the Charities on the day and will be accepted.

If you can get coverage a payment on the day to my charity link is also a good, quick and safe method of payment.

Here's the link again,

http://uk.virginmoneygiving.com/astonmartin

Hope that helps, hopefully people won't be to shy so please attend the auction followed by the raffle from 2 pm at my big White Gazebo and just shout up when the lot you fancy comes up.

Hi Rich,

Earlier the better tbh.

I shall be on site from 7am setting up the few gazebo's and generally running amok, slightly different to running AMOC btw.

Then display cars really could start arriving at 9am if your keen.

Between 9 and 10 would be the best bet prior to the Great British unwashed turning up as the House is usually busy on a weekend if the Suns out.

In General if on entry by the Pilsgate Gate House entrance everyone could follow my Stewards instructions it would be greatly appreciated as we have several prime
display locations.

If everyone follows the directions our display will flow nicely with some splendid photo's to be had,if you don't let mayhem in sue…….smile

These new locations have now been opened up to us due to a grass issue on the original site and "No Avin" before you start the Game Keeper hasn't be caught smoking it behind the stables.

In a nut shell its even better now than before………...woohoobring it on.

Thanks Graham,

In view of that I will seek advise from the charities concerned..

Lets at this stage revert to Cash or Cheque and the link as the last resort until clarification which will probably be on the day.

Thanks.

Will there be signs on the road of which entrance to go to? I will be driving a hire car. Will I just park in a different town and walk the rest of the way. And hope to get picked up by someone.biggrin
Stamford is not the type of place to let me go ramming up signs everywhere so the best thing to do is look at the location map on the Burghley website.

www.burghley.co.uk

Then have a look on Google Maps, shove in PE9 3JY and take Peggy Man for a walk up the B1443 towards Barnack to locate the entrance at the Pilsgate Gate House.

Alternatively you could slowly drive along with the window down as your sure to hear my manic screaming……...thumbup

Heres a few facts about your day as the question has been asked on the original Burghley topic which has now basically turned into a list .

Traders to arrive from 7 am for set up,set up must be complete for 9 am please.

General Park admission is from 10 am but as I have the gates open from 7 am you may arrive from 9am for parking and display.

Its pay a fiver on the gate.

Drive slowly whilst in the Park please, once you have paid your fiver drive slowly forward looking left or right as you might see some Deer, the Stags are currently fully Antlered up and look magnificent.

Please follow my Stewards instructions as they are there to help with your directions and safe parking.

Please park where you are directed leaving a sensible space to the next car to avoid door opening damage etc and to provide a decent walk through space.

Have a look on google Maps before coming to familiarise yourself with the entry point, put PE9 3JY and zoom in on the B1443 Barnack Road.

We are using the Pilsgate Gate House, the only public in and out to the grounds in operation,I or a team member will greet you on arrival to relieve you of your fiver and supply some paper work to aid your day.

Don't forget to use your concessions card for the House if you do the tour, don't miss out on this as its spectacular and a must whilst at Burghley.

Have a look at www.burghley.co.uk to see what the House and Grounds have to offer, there's also a map and directions available.

You are welcome to arrive when ever you like after 9 am but please drive safely on the grounds as it may we'll be busy with visitors,if you are a later arriver please attract a Stewards attention to aid with your parking.

The Park locks the gates at dusk.

If I've missed anything please shout or better still as its a bit hectic now please send me a pm and I will reply.

Many thanks and I hope you all enjoy your day.

Don't forget the Auction at 2 pm at my big white gazebo followed by the raffle, the planes are coming at 3 pm……………stick around there might be the odd prize to be had,you never know.
