The Deed is Done! V8VS Ordered
Discussion
Well, after the N430 launch curve ball (and a Maserati curve ball or two) and not being able to find a used/demo/stock car to my spec, I finally decided to get off the pot and factory order a Vantage S Sportshift today...
Rough spec as follows:
Aston Martin V8 Vantage S SportShift Coupe
Sports Suspension, Sports Seats, Sports Exhaust (std)
Contemporary Paint - Lightning Silver
Fast Track Interior - Iron Ore Red (w/Cirrus Grey Headlining, Cirrus Grey contrast stitch to door panel and inner seat only, all other stitching Iron Ore to match leather, upper lip Obsidian Black, Iridium interior trim, Piano Black facia trim, Black Cherry Carpets, Warm Charcoal Seatbelts, Silver logo to seat and carpets and Silver s/wheel stitch)
Front Parking Sensors
RED Rear Lights
Grey Brake Calipers
Platinum Grille and Meshes
Glass Switches
Wheels V-Spoke Graphite DT
Reversing Camera
Aston Martin Premium Audio
Auto Dimming Interior Mirror
Heated Seats
Memory Seats
Sat Nav/Bluetooth/Cruise/Tracker (std)
Delivery June and will go to factory to see it in build
By all means comment on the spec but that is it now :-)

sounds fab. many congrats - will look stunning
On a darker car, I'd personally have gone silver for the wheels not graphite, to tie in with the silver strakes, platinum grille & meshes, etc but on a silver(ish) coloured car, where there's less contrast, it's probably a more difficult decision in general whether to go dark or bright on the metal etc
I love the fact you've gone red rear lights. I initially thought red callipers might look good with that but on balance, I think not. A really well thought out spec.
Oh and long term, the S is probably the better bet unless you particularly fancied one of the new paint schemes
Do you mean sports (standard) seats or the lightweight (option) seats btw ?

Congratulations! So much clasasier than one of those N430 things
I was really surprised how few S models are available used at the moment (around 4 Coupes at AM dealers, maybe 8 in the country total). I further suspect that the N430 will steal some S sales which I am hoping will make the S quite a rare thing once I decide to move on (I know I should not be thinking about that already but it will be my daily driver for 2-3 years so is inevitable).Gassing Station | Aston Martin | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
