Hi all

Long story made very short. Loved my db9.2. Loved going out with the family in it. And then my daughter got too big to sit in the back. So did a mutually acceptable deal with HWM. Great service from them so far. And now sat in the dealer waiting to pick up a new Rapide S in sky fall silver.

I can see it from where I am sitting!!! Will try and upload a picture.

The Rapide is one of my favorites of all the models. This is the model that sticks in my mind the most from my day at Millbrook. A truly stunning piece of engineering and an extremely capable car. Enjoy!

And Skyfall Silver!! Lovely.

Congratulations! After your comments a short while back, I am going to be having a little test of the Rapide S as well. Same rationale.

smile I thought it was an excellent cover story to use with the other half.

Anyway. Fantastic journey home. Here are some photos. All iPhone rather than proper camera and a mixture of colour and B&W. Love the car. Really does drive like a sports car. Feels responsive and very easy to drive. I am absolutely loving the colour. I have had the following colours, Tungsten, Meteorite, Ceramic grey and now skyfall silver. Skyfall is my Fav by a long long way.

Now sitting down to read the manual. yes I know I have read an Aston manual before but any excuse!

best regards

Josh

Agree about hwm. Great service from Stuart and everyone else always makes the time to say hello. They made my 11 year old feel special by taking the time to talk to him and they even provided a bouquet of flowers for me to take home to the other half

Best regards

Oh oh oh

That is the definition of a practical family car. Something for everyone in there!

I hope you're on commission Josh!!!

I have hastily developed a 5 point plan to avoid spending more money:-

I must banish pictures of the Rapide
Must look at Virage more
Mustn't look at Josh's pictures/stories of how practical Rapide is
No more than 2 kids in Virage
Mustn't get in Rapide S

I do know that HWM have the same spec as above but in meteorite in their showroom right now. It's just sitting there waiting for you wink

Update. Kids have now selected the DVDs to be loaded in the rear entertainment system. For the record they are. Monsters university. Rio. Skyfall. Two seasons of Miranda. A bit of a mixed bunch but if it keeps them quiet then great. Not finished the manual yet but it appears the entertainment system allows the rear passengers to listen to different sources. From the connections available I think iphone can be plugged into the rear screens.

Right. Enough chat off for a bacon bap before heading out.

Best regards

Josh

You certainly had the perfect weather for collecting it! At least your neighbours and friends will see it for the first time clean and sparkly.

Thanks all. Relatives visiting today. Tried to break out a couple of times but got a look from the wife that said "if you leave me alone I will delete your progress on call of duty ghosts and battlefield four whilst you are out"

Still working my way through the B&O settings on the radio. But genuinely surprised to discover I have DAB!

Hi Josh, best of luck with the new car. Can you confirm then that you have the upgraded B&O radio, along with DAB. My 14MY Vanquish definitely has no DAB,I was told that it wasn't available with B&O. However, a new in stock DB9 I was also considering had DAB, but not the B&O upgrade.

Hi

My speakers say B&O and the screen says the same when I switch it on. I definitely I have dab as when I was messing around earlier I found absolute 90s and absolute 80s and the source said dab. I only got a few mins to play before heading back into the house is there anything else I should do to check?

Best regards

Josh

Do you have the little speakers on each side of the dash that rise up when you turn on the radio, that's what mine has and my last car had.

Fantastic looking car and a great choice.

Does anyone know what the difference is between skyfall, lightening and titanium silvers. Thought I read somewhere that skyfall and titanium were the same but would be interested to hear from someone who knows.
