I honestly don't understand why people concern themselves so much with the resale value of a car when they haven't even bought it yet. It's kind of like wondering how much the divorce is going to cost you as a factor on whether to marry the girl. Buy it to drive it, or don't buy it at all. smile

There is a very nice white manual one in HR Owen.

Manuals are a completely different car to an auto......seriously, try one.

I think that you will find that manual cars were worth less than auto in the past but of late the gap has lessened to the extent that manuals are probably worth more than the equivalent MY auto.

If you can get a later manual B&O model, that's where my money would be.

Just my opinion

This ^^

Surely you either want and like it don't!!

30k isn't high mileage for one of these engines as long as it's been serviced at 10k/12 months; which ever was sooner.

Impoossible to predict depreciation, why bother guessing!

Thanks for the input so far - I'm not overly concerned with the depreciation just trying to educate myself as much as possible before making a decision. Does mid-90s seem like a fair value for such a vehicle at present?

If you think it's what you want to pay, it's a fair price.

If not, walk away. The last thing you want is to drive an expensive car you aren't happy with...

well sorry all but for me 30k miles is to many for £100k. Iam sure its no problem for the car but i would want a lower mileage car. imo.

I would offer just under 100k for this if you want a CB.

Most Astons are not used as DD's and so only put on say 3K miles a year, not saying this is a good thing as the mantra says
"These cars are meant to be driven".
However Astons are mileage / price sensitive and I would expect to pay say 10% less for a higher mileage.

There will be a lot more than 100 Vanquish Mk2. Look at Vanquish Mk 1 Ultimate prices

+1

Totally agree: don't know what kind of car you are looking for, but a manual DBS is a totally different beast, and more fun, even as a daily driver (but since you will only drive 3K/year with it, I assume not, and for a weekend car it is even more fun to have a manual!).

DBS-es engine/transmission are ok for many many miles, so not to worry (if service has been done correctly!), you will only put on an additional 30K in 10 years, so it not really matters if you start at 15K or 30K miles to begin with. Of course it is the same price, or only slightly more expensive, go for the one with less miles. But if it differs 10-15K, and it has the right specs/accesoires, save some serious money (depreciation difference after 10 years with +30K miles will be minimal, especially if you make a DCF calculation on this :-))

It would actually stand out on the blue. Green is far superior for hiding it.
