How about Oulton Park (a great circuit but usually expensive) - or for a great circuit that may be quite cheap - Croft in North Yorkshire
Oulton is really expensive. You can get 2 days at Angelsey for the same price. That said it is an absolutely awesome track!Croft is a st hole too and really strict with noise limits.

I'm sure you can get Cadwell for about £6k+ VAT.
It's 5 hours each way to Snetterton for me, too far
Cadwell wouldn't be that much closer for you George. You're probably right about the cost but its an even greater distance for the vast majority to travel. Its also not easy to find a circuit that can accomodate us on a Friday as they are mostly test days for Saturday races. It's 5 hours each way to Snetterton for me, too far
Give us time and we'll sort out the best deals and hope that geographically we can find something further west and north.
Martyn, sorry you'll not be able to make Snetterton,,although I'm not totally convinced that you won't.

With it being a 3 mile track I would say between 30 - 35.
Found a good hotel 2 miles from the track. http://www.brecklandlodge.co.uk/
(We are booked in for the 18th and 19th. We are so glad we didn't have to drive back after the track day, especially on a Friday afternoon).
I can recommend this highly Found a good hotel 2 miles from the track. http://www.brecklandlodge.co.uk/

It's about 2 hours closer to me than Snetterton. It's my favourite circuit, I go there at least once a month. Going up Coppice and round Charlie's 1 and 2 Snetterton is just too far for me, did it once last year but wasn't too bad as had one day on track then 3 days of watching/mechanicing for racing. Give us time and we'll sort out the best deals and hope that geographically we can find something further west and north.

Something further North sounds good to me, I'll definitely be up for that

Bob,
Ignore the other suggestions as I doubt the suggestors would even contemplate organising the day. George wouldn't dare drive his on track even if the circuit was in his village
I would be incredibly nervous about taking it on track. But I would have a go on a track I know well. That narrows it down to Donington, Oulton or Cadwell. When there's a day organised at those I'll have a do Ignore the other suggestions as I doubt the suggestors would even contemplate organising the day.
