It's just over a week away now. Can't wait!

Out of interest, are plenty of people still planning on staying at the Breckland Lodge before and/or after the day?

If so, is anyone planning on organising a dinner on the Thursday evening? The Breckland Lodge has plenty of different eating options. (I'm not staying at the Lodge myself but I'm only 20 mins up the road).

Neil your offer is most appreciated. I am pleased to tell you that there are others that are listed that I have pm's from that although now unable to attend have offered to 'pay their share' should there be a short fall next week. It would be nice for me not to have to stump up any deficit, its going to be a close run thing. I'll post up the total signed up and ****PAID**** over the weekend. Thanks again Neil. wink

Time for a rain check:

Here is the original Snetterton quote:

Snetterton 300 – Friday 19th September
Circuit Hire £9300
Public Liability Insurance £160.20
Total £9460.20 +VAT = £11352

We have the 3 Rockingham Instructors to help us all through the day, their fees total £725.

Grand total £12077.

So far I have received 23 transfers, with 2 more expected before the event, so 25 @ £350 = £8750 should be in the pot come Friday.

If there are no further PAID up entrants before the 19th, the deficit I regret to advise will be £3327.

On a brighter note, I'm quite pleased with 25 cars and provided the weather holds and if we can believe the BBC weather man it will, we're going to enjoy something a bit special on Friday.

I sincerely hope all of the defaulters will pay you the deficit....and in the future this type of event should be a pay first thing...as to avoid this situation arising again.....

To be fair you didn't inform him until the 13th August, slightly over a month before the event takes place and the track had been booked and deposit paid by Bob.

To be fair, when an event is organised five months in advance there is always the likelihood of people dropping out nearer the time. That said, Bob has paid a deposit based upon the thirty-five commitments that were made.

I for one do not wish to see Bob out of pocket nor do I want people to pay the full amount for a day they cannot attend.

As a suggestion how would everyone on the list of thirty-five feel if we all paid £100 into the pot. Those that cannot attend could perhaps view this as a cancellation fee and those that can attend as a little extra, but for all of us to see it as a way to help Bob who has done a lot to organise a day that we can all enjoy and which shouldn't cost him over £3K.

Nicely done Simon. I was going to suggest exactly the same amount and method at Fridays drivers briefing - I think it's a solution that everyone should go along with - ultimately ALL that I want to see is a fair solution and Bob NOT to be out of pocket. That said the non attendees who have already PAID surely would be excused from the extra 100 quid
